My wife and I visited this place during our holiday in Wilsons Promontory, where we stayed for two nights in a one bedroom Unit in Tidal River Village.
We were here on a Monday morning, off peak season, when there was no one else around, which is fantastic for walking in the narrow tracks.

Easy walking along the gully and with a very interesting 600m boardwalk at the end around a swampy area with streams through it. We returned the hard way, climbing up onto the foothills of Mt Bishop and then taking the optional path to its summit, from where we had brilliant views over the western side of the Promontory. Really worth effort, but even returning the way we came along Lilly Pilly Gully would have been a good outing.

Het is een prachtig natuurgebied met veel variatie in terrein. Vlakke stukken. Hellingen en een heel mooi nat gebied. De wandeling is ongeveer 5 km . Je ziet er wel de gevolgen van de brand van 2009. Veel eucalyptus bomen hebben een verbrande schors. De wandeling is bij een goed parkeerterrein. En is duidelijk aangegeven. De moeite waard

This walk and the walk up Mt Bishop provided good views of the bushland that prevails in the Prom.Not spectacular but intereting.

Easy walk to the boardwalk around 30mins. Lovely board walk to walk through the rainforest. We chose to walk back via the Mt Bishop track, which was fairly steep. We saw a small black snake, a lot of bird life & when you get to the top of this track (not to the top of Mr Bishop) there are amazing views of the Norman beach (Wilsons Room) From memory the walk back was around 3.8km, so its a good work out.

The Lilly Pilly track is one of the most popular walks in Wilsons Promotory. It goes through native bush, including temperate rainforest. The track is good for people with limited mobility - it has boardwalks and mostly the path is compacted sand. The round trip is about 5.2 km (about 3 1/4 miles) and takes around 1 1/2 hours. You may bump into emus and wallabies (they're harmess). Dogs are no allowed. By the way, a lilly pilliy is a tree with red fruit, they are sometimes called an Austraalian cherry.

A simple easy walk down well laid paths and boardwalks around the swamp areas. Lots of good sign boards with relevant information. (I now know that a Lilly Pilly is a tree!)

Der Lilly Pilly Circuit ist etwa 5.5 km lang und führt zuerst die Bergflanke von Mount Bishop hinauf, bevor es anschliessend in einem grossen Bogen wieder zurück zum Parkplatz geht. Unterwegs hat man an einigen Punkten eine schöne Aussicht auf den bewaldeten Nationalpark. Trotz den vielen Autos auf dem Parkplatz begegneten wir nur wenigen Leuten, dafür einigen schönen Papageien. Wombats oder ähnlichen Tieren sahen wir leider nicht. Nach knapp zwei Stunden waren wieder zurück beim Auto.
Fazit: Eine nette Bergwanderung, die keine grosse Sportlerkondition voraussetzt.

A good walk to do on a blisteringly hot day, or in the middle of the day, lots of shaded areas and trees.

The parking area has a good sign for the start of the walk. You can make it longer by going the full circuit. It was not difficult and had some good coastal views from the top of the ridge.
