We went to the Yukishio Cafe in the Yukishio Museum on the northern tip of Miyakojima and had the famous Yukishio Soft serve.
There were five or six sets of tables in the store.
Before I sat down, I bought a snow salt soft serve ice cream (corn) @ 450 yen from the ticket machine.
We received soft serve ice cream and sat at a standing table.
There were four flavored snow salts on the table: lemon & herbs, shikuwasa, matcha, and hibiscus.
I had those Flavor snow salts sprinkled on soft serve ice cream. It was delicious and I enjoyed it.
Personally, I preferred shikuwasa salt the most.
The Yukishio Cafe is a good option for sightseeing on Miyakojima.

The shop was open, although I couldn't observe the manufacturing process because I visited on Sunday.
The snow-salt soft serve ice cream was a nice addition of salt to a delicious milk soft.

We visited our office on the first day after our visit. Snow salt label snow salt available only here. It really is like a snowy, slushy powder snow.
It's quite a long way from the hotel, but after I bought it, I stopped by Beniimo Panbin's and Irabu Ohashi.
The restaurant seemed to have just arrived with a group of customers and was super crowded, so it was quite a struggle just to look.
I used to look forward to coming to this store, but recently the variety of products has increased, but the prices have become so high that I buy souvenirs for people, except for snow salt, but no longer feel like buying them for myself.
The parking lot is much bigger and easier to come to, but it's no longer something you really want to come to.

Although it is called the Yukishio Museum, it is actually a factory with a direct sales store and a cafe. You can see the process of making Yukishio. You can reach it by going down a road that feels like a typical island road. The Yukishio is made by pumping up seawater from offshore.

I came to the island for the first time in 4 years, and visited this place the next day as the first thing. The snow salt, which can only be purchased here, is really like fine powder snow.
This time, by coincidence, we were able to use the local currency, so in addition to a bottle of snow salt, I bought a set of snow salt cider and financiers, a set of soy sauce and mozuku seaweed, and my wife, and I think that was good because I only bought souvenirs for everyone here.
It's quite far from the hotel, but we stopped by Irabu Bridge, MAX VALUE, and a roadside station on the way for a drive.
It's one of the places I always visit when I come to Miyako.
By the way, the parking lot has become much larger. The store seems to have become larger as well.

こちらの建物、お土産が売られているところと、カフェとありましたが、どこがミュージアムなのかわかりませんでした。
お土産買うだけなら空港や土産物ショップでも十分かもしれません。
わざわざ遠くまで来たのに少し残念。

池間島へいくドライブの途中で寄りました。ミュージアムってほどすごくはありません。宮古島内ではどこでも雪塩が買えるので、ミュージアム限定など大々的にアピールしてくれないと、行った甲斐がないかなと思いました。わざわざ足を運ぶほどでは…と思いました。

塩の直売所と言ったところでしょうか。ラベルが旧モデルのフレーバー塩が30％オフで買えたので良かったです。

ミュージアムとはなっていますが、製造を少しばかりのぞけるようにはなってはいますが、基本的に自社製品がずらっと並んだショップです。せっかくなので一点だけ購入しました。それなりのお値段ですが、お土産には悪くないと思います。
