We paid >1000 Euros for artwork from this man in May. We never received the package (posting was his arrangement and responsibility) which was confirmed lost by UPS. Mr Penso refuses to replace or refund item. He may seem very genial when you meet him but he is basically a crook.

Esperienza TERRIBILE e PERICOLOSA! Ho denunciato il proprietario alla polizia!! Questa mattina abbiamo visitato insieme alla mia fidanzata la bellissima isola di Murano fino a quando non ci siamo imbattuti malauguratamente nel negozio “davide - penso”. Il proprietario ha pensato bene di accoglierci SENZA mascherina e SENZA alcun dispositivo di protezione individuale mettendo a rischio la nostra incolumità. La nostra esperienza nel negozio si è conclusa dopo alcuni istanti e senza alcun motivo logico in quanto il proprietario in modo MOLTO aggressivo ci ha CACCIATI dal negozio sostenendo che si era sentito offeso in quanto avevo risposto ad una chiamata telefonica dentro il suo negozio! Persone del genere rovinano l’opinione dell’intera comunità di MURANO e del nostro paese in generale! spero che la mia recensione serva al proprietario..i turisti non si trattano con arroganza e prepotenza..

Davide Penso propone, nel suo negozio-laboratorio a pochi passi dalla fermata Museo del vaporetto, la sua più recente creazione. Alghe leggere come se fossero veramente mosse dalla corrente, di diverse dimensioni e colori, una delle possibili magie che un maestro può estrarre dal vetro. Non abbiamo resistito e ce ne siamo fatti spedire una a casa.

We had to go there twice - first to get an overview and second to buy this stunning black and white necklace. The seaweed sculptures are still in our mind and we will check at home where we could place it. Impressive art and great work as well. Thank you for all the informations we got!

I loved David’s seaweeds and also bought a beautiful bead necklace here. He showed us how he makes the seaweed sculptures, letting the beautiful colors come out in his work. He is right next to the Murano Hyatt at the Murano Museo boat stop.

I would like to say a very big thank you to Mr Penso.
I ordered one of his glass seaweed sculptures via email after visiting the studio in Murano and being the last day of my trip I did not have enough money on me.
The sculpture arrived within a couple of weeks safely wrapped in bubble wrap with a guide on how to assemble.
Absolutely ecstatic with my purchase.

Adjacent to Musee stop on Vaporetto, this store is a unique offering for Murano- no kitsch, none of the same things that all the other stores have.... instead these are UNIQUE one of a kind pieces. Davide does all the work himself for these unique pieces: he is a sought after world master : the seaglass pieces have been featured as cover stories in art magazines. He ships for free and if is all well packed. You may even custom choose the size, style and colors. Dont miss this store-

Wir sind zufällig in das Geschäft von Künstler Davide Penso rein gegangen. Schon durch den Einblick in die Schaufenster bekammen wir den Eindruck - hier bekommst Du was besonders. Als erstes haben wir zwei wunderbare Armbänder gekauft(wir tragen es täglich super qualitativ) und dann haben uns sofort verliebt in einen einzigartigen Kunststück. Danke, Mille Grazie.

LAST YEAR I loved this store! It had so many lovely artistic items I purchased many pieces and enjoyed doing so. However THIS YEAR I went in expecting a rush of excitement seeing lots of tempting items vying for my money. I was totally deflated~nothing was any good, no variety, and artistic flair was absent. I was crushed! I walked right out.

Hi Lynette, I am not aware of any studios that offer workshops. Perhaps Davide does, but in all of my discussion with him, I was not made aware of this. My husband and I are glass blowers and were given an opportunity to work a piece at CAM several years ago...but workshops or lessons? I am sorry but I have no idea. My suggestion would be to contact him directly and ask. Good luck!

Hi Davide, we are 4adults and 2children (12 & 5) and we have no experience of doing it at all. Do you think its suitable for my 5 years old girl? How do we get there from San Marco using public transport? May I also know the cost for basic. Thanks.
