Staff were all brilliant, great welcome, safely brief and definitely kept an eye on us during the course! Felt nice and safe in the trees! Highly recommend if you haven’t been to a GoApe before - this location would be great for your first go! Five different stations to try, could be disappointing if you’ve been to bigger locations.

We was booked in for the 10am a lot and was told via email to get there at 9:30. When we arrived we was told by the man on reception to wait until 9:45 to pay for car parking, he was rather rude and not very helpful and didn’t let us explain we had an email saying this.
The course itself was fabulous, Alex who showed us the safety procedure was AMAZING, he made sure everybody knew what to do before we moved onto the next part. He explained everything in detail without it being over complicated. Unfortunately during our time the weather turned to thunder and lightning meaning we had to clear the course until it had passed, we was told there would be an update in 30 minute - staff kept us updated throughout the 30 minute period too! After 30 minutes we was allowed to resume the course. All 4 of us had an amazing time (even if I was a bit scared at some points) and would defiantly recommend doing this! 🌳

It was our first experience and it was lovely, we enjoyed the adventure. The staff was very welcoming and before we went for the adventure, they showed us all the measures and safety precautions to take. We did the top tree challenge, definitely recommend to everyone.

Staff day out! It was so SO much fun, our host Huw was a total legend and made the experience easy and safe! He even came to our rescue a few times. Would totally recommend, excellent staff and experience.

An absolutely fantastic day! We had Emma as our host, and she was enthusiastic, engaging and supportive throughout!
A really fun, and also terrifying at times, experience, but we all felt safe and secure the entire time!
Would recommend to anyone as a birthday, work do, or just a great day with friends!

I don’t normally write reviews but it really shows the difference staff make. The guy at the desk was really helpful. Emma, our brief instructor was brilliant, a real credit to their team. Full of enthusiasm and really added to the experience. Another women was a little rude but overall can’t fault the staff! The brief was quite long but thorougher. The course is great fun, working your way through different heights, challenges and zip lines. Good fun whatever the weather. There were a couple of queues but they kept moving. We were engaged with enough to feel safe but also feel as though we did it ourselves. I was a little nervous so it put me at ease. Kids loved it and would definitely do again. Really appreciate you guys going the extra mile for us!!

Great few hours in the trees!
Safety is plumbed into you from the start. The course has a great mix of tricky and easy tasks. The Tarzan rope is terrifying but there is a cut pass if you aren't feeling brave!
The zips are great too.
We visited in 28 degree heat but because the site is in the shade it was cool for a day like this.

We went to go ape Margam yesterday on an 11am slot.
Staff were nice and helpful.
The 11am session didn’t start too late at 11.05am and by 11.20 after the safety brief, we were ready to start.
But … the 10.30am group were still starting! So we had a 10 minute wait to get going.
Next …
The group on the 10.30am group were queuing behind the 10am group (that had a hen party, which appeared to be taking ages). There was little the staff could do; the whole day got backed up.
Course itself is decent. The slow choke point is the leap and swing which was taking some people a long time.
So… The course should have taken an hour to an hour and a half, but after 2 hours and hungry for lunch we gave up queuing having only done 4 out of the 5 stages. There were no refunds.
No one minds waiting a bit, but given that it was nearly £60 for an adult and a teen, I don’t feel this was worth the money.
I wouldn’t go back to this one again. We’ve had a better high ropes experience elsewhere.

Thought it was very good, had a phone call the day before to let us know to arrive early as its bit of a walk from the car park and check filled in the paperwork online. The course was easy compared to a few other places we've been to. But still enjoyed it and had a laugh with some other people on the course. The zip wires was the best bit. Was glad I had already been to another one near home because they put you in harness then say look at the diagram, practice it. I'm not good at following instructions then after they gave a demo. I would say that's a bit backwards. Buy a lanyard well worth it for some pictures. And a little memory of the day. The guy at the desk was really nice, kind enough to put it on our phones cuz we couldn't figure it out. Even get a sticker and a certificate at the end.

Are children supervised by a qualified adult or does a parent/guardia have to accompany them?

Thanks for the question Diane and for thinking of us. The training site is suitable however we recommend two supervising adults to accompany them. As long as you can climb a rope ladder unaided then you can Go Ape - we can assist if need be. The training site is the beginning of our original Tree Top Adventure. Thanks for getting in touch and for thinking of us. We most certainly do - x5 in total. The longest at Go Ape Margam is 167 metres. We also have one of Go Ape's biggest Tarzan Swings which features a six metre drop. Hopefully see you for an adventure soon!

Thanks for getting in touch and for thinking of us. Our original Tree Top Adventure, which is a 2-3 hour experience, costs £33 per adult [aged 16+] and £25 per child [aged 10-15 years]. You'll get to tackle epic Zip Wires, knee-knocking Tarzan Swings and a variety of obstacles and crossing high up in the trees. For more information please check our website.
