A hike with beautiful climbs, pebbles and roots on the way where you meet babies carried on their backs, children of all ages, the elderly and all the others. In short, a vast audience for a hike not that easy. The heat in this month of July adds an additional difficulty. Everyone goes at their own pace and everyone says hello.
Arrived at the very top, at the foot of the Cross, we relax with a break a well deserved picnic and especially to enjoy the view.

We left from the Sire chalet, it takes 2 hours round trip.
The trail was not the most pleasant due to the bad weather of the last few days.

An very accessible hike in the woods from Sire.
The 360° view from the Croix du Nivolet is superb. We can admire the Lac du Bourget, the Chartreuse, the Bauges and Chambéry.
I really fell in love with this outing.

We did the loop in the direction indicated and on snowshoes. Little snow but it's magical. The climb is constant, pleasant and in the woods. This climb is less crowded.
The descent is very busy. Moreover, at the start of the return we go up and down to the lord's chalet. Afterwards in places the descent is very steep. It took us 3 hours including the break at the top. What a view! Really safe, it's a hike to do I would say a must, but you need the view.

It was a good walk, i started at Chambéry and took the car to approach the "Croix du Nivolet". Then i walked for 1h passing through "le chemin de l'échelle" which was quite complicated. There was a picturesque view on "le Bourget"'s lake first and then at the top on the city of Chambéry. The part in the wood at the beginning of the hike was wonderful with the autumn colours and the leaves falling down to the forest's ground. Moreover, the temperature was quite high for october and so it didn't feel cold. I highly recomend this walk that i think is the best activity in the region.

What beautiful place !
Here we go with a friend in a hike for a full day, since Lovettaz to "croix du Nivolet". For the return, we passed by the "col de la doriaz" and its picturesque waterfalls ! This journey was extremly rejuvenating, allowing the time for discussion between two break to admirate the landscape on chambéry, the lake and mountains.
Paths are naturals and perfect to escape from the city life. And this experience is only 30 minutes from Chambéry !
I leave two points to tour appreciation, for me, they are a part of experience :
- without a departure from the "Féclaz", this hike requires to be a good walker, especially if you take the "pas de l'échelle".
- the majestic cross to the top of Nivolet it was built after the law of 1905...it is illégal.

Très belle randonnée pour accéder à la Croix du Nivolet, à l'abri des arbres pour une grande partie, qui débouche sur une vue imprenable de la vallée.

Superbe randonnée au départ à pied de la Féclaz !
Compter 2 heures de marche en marchant bien pour monter jusqu´à la Croix du Nivolet. La vue arrivée en haut en vaut vraiment le détour 😉😊 Sentiers très praticables et très ombragés à 80%. Même les centres de loisirs y montent 😊.

Balade familiale dans les bois du massif des Bauges, au départ de Feclaz parking sud. Léger dénivelé pour accéder au point de vue au niveau de l'immense croix. Prévoir de bonnes chaussures et de l'eau. Durée : 2 à 3h selon le parcours choisi. Panneaux d'information sur place.

Magnifique randonnée, possible en départ de la station La Feclaz avec de jeunes enfants 7-11 ans si bons marcheurs car cela grimpe un peu (400m de dénivelés). Au sommet, la vue sur le lac est vraiment magnifique!
