Raw nature white sand very basic beach lil basic accomodations we set up camp by the beach with my friends after climbing mountain . we couldnt enjoy waters too rough high tides at late afternoon . had a great time because of raw nature view virgin beach . tho it was annoying to have another beach with annoying karaoke noises at other side of beach

I have a great experience and It was a pleasant surprise to discover this hidden paradise in masasa beach batangas. it's not crowded and it has very crystal clear water, white sand, and beautiful corals. Masasa beach offers affordable accommodations & food and lots of activities you can enjoy like swimming and snorkeling. They offer the use of vests and goggles for only 100 for those who want to see the beauty under the sea.

It was a pleasant surprise to discover this hidden paradise. This was my second option to go to. When I arrived, i found it unique because before reach the beach, you have to pass by a rice field. The sand is fine and the water is crystal clear! Love to be back there again someday.

It was a little after 8am when we arrived in the City of Batangas. The city is almost a three hour drive from Quezon City. Once we were at the Grand Terminal, we had to ask around for where we can find a Jeepney ride to Anilao Port. It wasn’t really difficult as there were many who offered to take our group to Anilao. The fare was not at all expensive, we paid the driver PHP 40 each, that’s about 0.80 USD and in less than an hour we arrived safely at the port.
Anilao Port was packed with folks going to Tingloy to spend the weekend. We were given numbers assigned to our boat ride, and waited for two more hours before we got onto a boat that will take us to the island, and in less than an hour we arrived at Tingloy port. Tricycle rides were waiting to pick us up and to bring us to where we will be staying.
We travelled to Batangas with barely enough sleep. I wonder sometimes why we do this to ourselves, but hey, we had much fun! 😉
The ride to the house where we will be staying overnight was just a 15 minutes. It is important to note, that there are no houses at the beach and to get there you’ll need to either take a boat ride to its shore or to walk. We did both though. Walked to the beach and also rode a boat going there. It was quite fun hiking to the beach, and the waters going to the beach is crystal clear you can almost see the corals under.

If you will be looking for a budget friendly but above average beach, this is the place.
Pros:
Budget friendly getaway.
Many transient houses to choose from.
Nice corals.
Accomodating people.
Activities:Island hopping, snorkling, banana boat (but steep price),
beach bumming, trekking.
Cons:
Crowded during long weekends and peak season.
Difficult to get a boat ride from the Anilao port in peak season.
No marketplace. Buy before getting of the port. (sari sari store is available at the island).
No electricity at midnight.
Note:
When choosing a transient house, be sure to research throughly. Best location is at the beachfront. Some houses are located on the other side of the hills where you have to walk farther. This means you have to leave the beach before it gets dark.
There is no hotel, so don't expect too much on transient houses.
We are a group of 20 pax. Whenever, I visit Masasa Beach on peak season, I just coordinate with the transient house owner and pay 5k for a private boat rental. Max boat capacity is 50 pax. It may be costly, but we skipped all the hassle of waiting and lining up. The boat even docked infront of the beachfront house.
I would recommend this place for a laid back relaxation at the beach.

We went here before summer starts that was March 23, 2019. We brought our own camping tents and things we will be needing for camping. We pay for environmental fee worth Php 80.00. It's okay to bring your own tent since there is an allotted camping area in front of the beach near a sari-sari store. We felt uncomfortable to those bangkero that lied and told us that we should be needing a transient so we can stay in the island for a night and they want to offer us their transients but since we want to enjoy camping so we say no to them.
Luckily, after we got off the boat some residents told us where the place that offers pitching of camping tents and it's in front of the beach. The residents and owner of the sari-sari store took good care for use. We paid for 300 per tent with free use of the comfort rooms and shower areas. We can also charge our gadgets and use their cooking area for free.
Since we are 10 in our group, they gave us a promo for island hoping and snorkeling for almost 4hrs for only 300 per person. So far all I can say is

The most thrilling part was the boat ride from the Anilao Port going to Tingloy Port. If youre into diving and knows most of the best dive spots around Batangas, the surrounding coastal town on rocky hillside of Mabini and Anilao were a sight to behold. It was a bumpy tricycle ride if you are coming from Tingloy but the view is beautiful from the steep mountain hiway going to Masasa proper. We stayed at a homestay at Brgy Calumpang 25 mins from the Masasa Beach. There, it was peaceful, the beach is so-so, quiet rocky but the waves are good, and we had so much fun swimming than at Masasa Beach. The main beach of Masasa is crowded with people tent-pitching near the beach. The water is not as clear or as clean as what you will see on some blogs. If you Go further on to the Lagoon (NOT a Lagoon as what they claimed!) You will see cottages and structures built on the rocks. This side is noisy and quiet a mess. I will not recommend Masasa Beach to those looking for luxury! This is not for you.

T'was a wonderful experience to be here in Masasa. It is situated in Tingloy, Batangas. An hour boat ride from Mabini, Batangas. I never thought that my experience would be this awesome. First of, You have to take a bus ride going to Batangas Grand Terminal and look for jeepney that is bound to Anilao port. When you're in Anilao port, you have to pay for 2 environmental fees, for Mabini and Tingloy which cost 80php. Ride the boat situated in the port, it costs 80php also. You will reach Mabini for almost an hour. If you're already in Mabini, you have to be careful in picking the best transient house you'll be staying. Don't easily believe the people endorsing transient houses that is allegedly "beach front". THERE ARE NO TRANSIENT HOUSES near the beach. So you have to make sure that you pick the nearer place. What we did is that, we ride a tricycle and we asked the driver to take us to Masasa and we will look for a transient house ourselves, and so that is what we did and we succeed haha. We found ATE LISA TRANSIENT HOUSE,not that near the beach but mind you guys, it's a lot nearer than those offered in the port. I will post the contact no. of the owner below. Guys they are one of the best people there, haha but i can say almost all of the people are sooooo hospitable and they will welcome you whole heartedly. You can ask them to cook for you if you have no spare time because ofcourse, you will be spending most of your time under the sun 🌞😂 The fixed rate for transient houses there is 400php / pax. We got a spacious room that has 2 large double deck beds and we're only 4 there so we enjoyed the room given to us😊😊 i hope you will find my review interesting and informative. You may contact them on the no.I will post here. Enjoy🏖🌞🌊

If you want a quick get away from the stress and pollution in the city out of the busy city Masasa beach is one of the best beach to go. Masasa beach is just only a 4 hours away from manila and if you are on a tight budget and you want to be out of the busy city and want to spend time with yourself this is the place that I can recommend. This place is an island in the province of Batangas and now being known for it's clear blue water, corals and turtles. There's no hotel in this place only transient house which will cost 400 per head for a 1 night stay and since this is an island there's no bar no night life and you are not allowed to have a bone fire in the shore during at night. If you will go to this place bring your own food because there's no restaurant on this area and the good thing about this place you can use all of the things in the transient house utensils and cookware.Be prepared to be on the outside world because there's no data connection on this place and only one network you can use which is globe network only..So if your using sun, smart and tm be prepared not to have an fb and other internet stuff. The activities available in this island is island hopping, snorkling and hiking for an affordable price.
