We made use of our own transportation to get to the destination, so I may not have extensive details about the specific route. I recommend using Waze for navigation purposes. Please note that there is available parking at the location, but there is a parking fee of 100 pesos. For our meal, we purchased a whole lechon manok and rice from a carenderia. Before arriving at Wawa Dam-Marikina River, we observed that the water was discolored and not clean; nevertheless, the location itself is truly remarkable. The entrance fee is quite affordable, approximately 20 pesos from what I recall. There are trash bins and signage in place throughout the area. I suggest starting your visit by exploring the surroundings, as hiking offers a great opportunity to discover the village, see various campsites, abundant trees, fruits, and local stores. Upon reaching the end of the road, we proceeded to take a boat trip and enjoyed a riverside lunch. The boating experience was the highlight of our visit, providing us with the opportunity to marvel at the upper Wawa Dam, for which we paid 300 pesos for the round trip.

This was a quick trip we had just to get out of the usual busy day in Manila. We just searched for a place to visit in Rizal, and this is what we found. It just took us a few hours to get here from Manila. There are a lot of stores and carinderia (food stalls) around do even if we hadn't taken our breakfast, we got our quick bite when we arrived here. There are limited parking spaces, but we're glad we found a cheap one at 30 pesos. The environmental fee is at 20 pesos per head. The cottage we rented costs 200 pesos. There were food vendors, so we enjoyed eating and taking pictures. All in all, it was a refreshing trip.

You just need to walk about 8-10 minutes just to reach the wawa dam waterfalls. But it's worth it. A very relaxing place. Lots of cheap goods like vegetables and fruits along the way!

Good place to visit .The Dam is lovely the stalls on the way to the Dam are very cheap and all friendly take a boat ride along the river have a paddle rent a Cottage stay overnight and watch the sunset . Only 20 pesos (30,Pence ) UK entrance fee

Growing up in Rizal province, I’ve heard legends about the town of Rodriguez, formerly Montalban, also former part of San Mateo. These tales were about Bernardo Carpio and the town’s limestone mountains. One of the well-known versions of the town’s folklore, Bernardo’s a giant trapped between two mountains, Mt. Pamitinan and Mt. Binacayan, in which he’d push apart to escape. In effect, a gorge was formed where the river now flows through. It’s called Wawa Dam today, a famous tourist spot, and jump off point for the trilogy mountains of Rodriguez.
It’s relatively near the metro and transportation is not that hard. You can bring your own car but be cautious since it’s open parking. Even food but there are actually a lot of stores, even going up the dam.
Few things though, NO MOBILE RECEPTION and can be way too crowded at times, none the less it still has that rustic, countryside vibe.

The trilogy (version 1) was not meant for people like me; not outdoorsy and definitely not an athlete. I climb 2 mountains tho and waited for my companions to finish the third one instead. This dam offered a reflief after a long day of continuous sweating and made me feel happy on my way home.

雖然在馬尼拉近郊, 但從cubao附近出發也要大約兩小時才到, 其中還要換一趟車, 到達溪谷入口的村莊, 徒步大約20分鐘就可抵達水壩, 經過水壩續往上游去有一些付費的竹筏船屋給遊客遊憩, 老實說這溪谷與水壩的景色並無特別之處, 若有餘暇可來, 無須專程到此一遊

You can swim, you can Hike , you can eat but dont forget to clean it up your mess and preserve this beautiful place !
Your rest day is worth it if you gonna take a look for it ! this is a hidden place at Montalban Rizal. This is like a provincial hotspot this summer !
You can only drive this for an hour from Metro Manila.
Bring food , Take pictures , Make memories and dont Forget to PICK UP 3 PIECES OF GARBAGE WHILE YOU WALK AND DISPOSE PROPERLY 😉 Enjoy ! ☺️

Is anyone here familiar with the commute to Wawa dam. I was planning to go before sunrise hoping to catch it but coming from manila I'd have to leave around 4 am. So I was wondering of the jeepneys/fx are operating 24hrs or not
