What a great little place right off the highway…. We didn’t do a tour as it was quite busy…. The staff was amazing so informative and welcoming…. Able to sample before purchasing… we all walked out with different flavoured cheese. A must stop for your next charcuterie board!

visited mountain oak cheese. the tour costs 11 $ and duration was one hour. the tour was very informative. you get to sample the cheese that they make and buy after. they sell quark and farm fresh eggs as well. unfortunately the tour of the farm was not included. overall an excellent place to visit if you like cheese.

Went on a tour there. Lots of award winning Gouda cheeses. Gold is my favorite. Lots of samples to try. Also bought mouth watering steak, milk, cheese curds, and fresh blueberry yogourt. Owners love to talk if they are not busy.

We stopped here after seeing the sign on the highway and were so glad we did. We bought the two year aged, celery and chili Gouda, pepper curds and red pepper jelly. The woman in the shop was very knowledge. This was the best cheese we had ever had!

We visited with our three kids for the tour and had a great time with Adam the owner along with the personalized tasting at the end. We also ran into Adam’s grand daughter and her mom who gave us a personalized tour of the Holstein cows (which is not part of the tour) and the milking process. Overall a fantastic place and fantastic hosts.

An interesting tour of a small hands-on cheese making business.
Only make Gouda cheeses, curds and quark.
Great info, fun to see the cheese making process and especially the hundreds of cheese wheels.
Like the Black Truffle and the horseradish gouda was interesting too.
Quark is very good...thicker than yogurt and tasty.

Mountain Oak’s award winning cheeses are bought straight from the farm where the whole process starts and ends. They have a good variety of gouda cheeses. Well worth the visit. My favourite is their nettle cheese.

I had this cheese for the first time at the cdx in Stratford. I loved it! It tastes so good..... it tastes like cheese should taste.The black diamond etc you buy In the grocery stores don’t taste like cheese.
On a Saturday we made a special trip to the farm / store where they make the cheese.
Very nice people run this little store— the lady ( I believe she is one of the cheese makers) was very helpful,informative and gave us samples to try. This is a family farm and business—- what’s not to love?
My favourite is the black truffle... man is it good. We left the store with 5 different cheeses. Highly recommended
