From a distance the castle is spectacular and imposing, as you get closer you realize how really huge it is. We decide to buy for 5 euros the guided tour and what about... Unfortunately there is absolutely nothing to see. The Guiltless Guide will tell you above all about two artists who exhibit their works at the Inter of two rooms. For the rest you will see and visit nothing

The view from the castle takes your breath away. It feels like touching Torgnon with a finger and then the whole valley spreads out before your gaze. It is worth taking a walk and entering the village up to the chapel. At the end of the village, right before the forest we found a little corner of paradise. A splendid private garden of English roses whose fragrance is released and permeates the air.

Purtroppo essendo martedì non abbiamo potuto visitarlo. Allego locandina orari x i mesi estivi. Abbiamo comunque apprezzato la vista anche se solo da fuori. Parcheggio comodo. Si deve fare una camminata in salita su sterrato.. Non adatto a passeggini.

Abbiamo visitato la zona in un periodo ed in un giorno bello ma non adatto, forse andrebbe visitato quando faranno delle esposizioni e nei mesi estivi. Dal castello potrete vedere tutta la valle , quindi anche una paseggiata è ripagata.

Il castello monoblocco (a me ricorda un sacco il mattoncino 2x1 della Lego) domina dall'alto l'abitato di Châtillon. Si raggiunge facilmente lasciando l'auto nel comodo parcheggio gratuito (cercate su maps: Parcheggio per Castello di Ussel) con una salita abbastanza ripida, ma fattibile e se la faccio io la fa chiunque. Per sicurezza è consigliabile preparasi al percorso, anche se breve, con scarponcini o scarpe adeguate. Assolutamente da non perdere la visita guidata del Castello che, raccontandone la storia e quella dei diversi proprietari come gli Challant e i Savoia, permette di capire perchè sia arrivato a noi in questo stato. L'interno è ormai uno spazio espisitivo ma la vista dall'esterno e del panorama sulla valle che si gode dalla piazzola a fianco del castello è eccezionale.

Bel castello situato in una posizione favorevole per ammirare un bel paesaggio. Il percorso per raggiungerlo è in pendenza ma non è troppo faticoso, il castello si raggiunge in pochi minuti. Poco prima di arrivare al castello c'è uno spiazzo con una vista spettacolare.
Non siamo riusciti ad entrare nel castello, sarà per la prossima volta!
Parcheggio spazioso con bar e piccolo parco giochi.

Che dire…il castello è costruito su un dirupo che sovrasta la vallata! Maestoso e bellissimo. Peccato però che aprirà non prima di2 settimane…che peccato! Però a metà luglio ( mi è stato detto da una persona del luogo ) verrà riaperto e ci sarà anche una rievocazione storica! Da nn mancare!

Castello chiuso da anni. Per fortuna quest'anno apertura estiva eccezionale dal 19 luglio fino a settembre.
