We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced and understand your frustration. We're continuously working to improve our services, our 8 seasons brochure is available also in German and some suppliers have translated their brochures also into German. We arrived too late to the office to participate in any organised trips, so staff wonderfully helped us organise our own activities.
Once they discovered what we liked, they suggested several trails and options, while also recommended the places we needed to go to get the necessary gear.
The cross country ski trail map was some of the best money we spent on the trip!

We booked three trips in advance. All were very well organised. We booked one trip on the day self. Also perfectly organised. The lady at the office was very kind and helpfull.

The staff here are so helpful and guided me through the options around excursions when I was unsure if I could travel. This is also the best and cheapest place to book your activities

Wij zijn bij het kantoor geweest om activiteiten te boeken voor onze vakantie en werden vriendelijk en goed geholpen, kregen gevraagd advies. We hebben twee excursies geboekt. Een van de excursies kon niet doorgaan, door privéomstandigheden van onze kant. Toen we vroegen of we de excursie nog konden wijzigen naar een andere dag werd moeite gedaan om dit voor ons te regelen en dat is gelukt. Wij zijn dik tevreden.

We waited until arriving at Levi before booking any tours. We were on a ski trip and wanted to pick a day with good weather. We walked down to the tourist office and looked through the extensive collection of activities. My partner wanted to do a husky ride and I fancied a reindeer ride. We ended up finding one through the tourist office that included both. Just short rides but gave us a taste which was great. Lady was very helpful and spoke excellent English.
The tour left from the tourist office and we were able to pop in and use their facilities first (toilet) which was helpful.

Thank you for your request. Would you have free time in the morning or afternoon? For how long? Husky safari are very popular but you need to allow for 2 hours time, alternatively snowshoeing with a guide or by yourself, skiing, snowmobiling if there is a group going - they need minimum 4 people to run it, the options are many. May I know how many Santa Claus village in Finland ? I knew there is one located at Rovaniemi. How about Levi?
Any different in between Levi & Rovaniemi?
Is Levi near to Ivalo airport ?
How about Inari, Kielajoki?
We have 4 days 3 nights or 5 days 4 nights plan to visit North of Finland. Mainly for Northern Light & Santa Claus & experiences Sami culture on 6 - 11 of Nov 2019. We are not driving as we can’t drive. Will appreciate your suggestions. Thank you very much

I’ve booked though inghams but wanted to add the excursions separately. Which is the best authentic Santa experience to book. I’ve heard mixed reviews on elves hideaway and worried Santa’s park it a bit too commercial. We will also be there over Xmas and wanted to see Santa on Xmas eve, if that is possible?

Hello,
I believe the reply is that there isn't a santa excursion better than another because all comments are always relative. It depends on what is important for the guests, the age of their children, the amount they are prepared to spend on it and the time in December. The Christmas week is the busiest and all Santa excursions are extremely busy. Santa Park is fun but it is an enterteinment park and at Christmas is extremely busy so you will end up queuing a lot to do any of the activities there. Have a look at the December program at our activities link on the levi . fi page. Most of the santa excursion will stay more or less the same. It is also possible to have Santa visiting in your accommodation, if this is something you would like to consider. Thank you. The Levi Tourist Information Team

Hello,
if you mean the Elves Hideaway program it normally runs in December from around the first week. On Fridays it is generally to anyone booking directly with Tonttula or via our online December weekly program. If you want to visit Tonttula but without the Santa being there you can go and visit by yourself anytime between 10.00-16.00 (entrance fee 15€) when the café is open or attend the guided walk with the elf in the yellow dress on Wednesdays and Fridays in January and also on Thursdays from beginning of February. The guided visit takes place at 13.00. We hope this helps. Thank you

at the moment the reindeer ride are not possible because of too little snow. Please contact us on levi info @ levi fi next week again. There should be some snow coming at the week end and we are hoping all excursions will be able to run normally.

this is still hard to say. We have some preserved snow but the forecast is warm for this week and without artificial snow we cannot officially open the slopes. Of course the situation can change all of a sudden but according to the weather. For a more precise schedule we would recommend contacting the ski resort which looks after the slope at leviskiresort @ levi.fi. Thank you
