We like smaller more intimate wineries. This is a large winery with large groups being toured around in a noisy modern building. The setting is beautiful but not quiet. We decided to do the 1 pm lunch and premium lunch pairing. The restaurant is very large and it could be very nice, but we had booked a second winery in the afternoon and had to cancel due to the lunch taking over 2 hours. This tour started at 1 pm and will last at least till 4 pm. We also had the issue of being a 2 top table among larger tables. The restaurant serves all the wines and food like you are at a banquet, which means we were constantly waiting for the larger tables to finish before we were served. Due to this some food pairings were not served hot. The winery also allows children at these lunches, which I find strange.
Due to the above, I rated 4 stars.
Make sure you schedule minimum of 3 to 4 hours of you do the lunch/wine pairings. On a positive note, the pours were nice and you were allowed to revisit your favorite wines. I wish the lunch provided prices and an order sheet to speed up the process of leaving and deciding which wines to purchase.
Due to the above, I rated 4 stars.

My wife and I ate lunch here but did not take the tour. We had a premium lunch which included 5 wine servings, most of which were upgrades to the standard offerings.
The facility is very impressive with great views of the valley.
Our wine was re-filled, albeit sporadically. Food is served banquet style. E.g. we arrived 10 minutes early but it didn’t matter. All courses are served to the various diners at the same time.
The food was very good. Wines were average to below average. Service was inconsistent. The lunch lasted from 2-4:00.
Overall it was decent but with hindsight I would have eaten elsewhere.

We loved the visit! Borja attended us and explained all the wine cellar and wine making great. The building is also spectacular. Highly recommended!

We visited this bodega for the tour and lunch. Lunch was the highlight, a 6-course tasting menu with 5 accompanying wines. Excellent food and atmosphere. We would highly recommend it.

A new and beautiful bodega with an impressive and efficient production process. Modern take on winemaking, combining new techniques with some old ones.

The views from the glass box are spectacular. The winery is a masterpiece of modern architecture.

Hello,
We would like to book the winery tour + lunch. The tour time is 11:00. We read that lunch is then at 13:00. However, when I go to reserve, the website gives the time as 14:00. Please help us understand.

La Real Academia de Medicina y Cirugia de la Región de Murcia y la Academia de Farmacia Santa María de España me invitaron a una Conferencia "La ciencia del vino; bases científicas de su efecto saludable" el 29.04.2015, impartida por el Ilmo. Sr. D. Pedro Martinez Hernández, Académico Numerario de las Academias de Cirugia y de Farmacia de la Región de Murcia, conferencia magistral que nos hizo descubrir las bases científicas del efecto saludable del vino, desde su historia hasta nuestros días, así como los nuevos estudios, a nivel científico, donde colaboran varias universidades nacionales, sobre el beneficio del consumo moderado de vino con la enfermedad coronaria y la demencia senil, entre otras. Al final del acto, tuvimos el placer de degustar un vino español BAI GORRI, crianza del 2011, de Bodegas Baigorri, que por su exquisitez nos dejo prendados del buen vino de esta bodega, siendo todo elogios para la misma. Por ello, me haría ilusión el visitar dicha bodega, que por sus características y buen hacer es un ejemplo y orgullo, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, de cómo elaborar buenos "caldos" que dejan huella para el que los prueba y que animo a todas las personas a degustar y que seguro repetirán, como es mi caso. Mi enhorabuena a esta bodega que nos deja el listón muy alto a toda España y por supuesto a la denominación de origen La Rioja. Un cordial saludo
