Relics of the Past Splendour of the Native Carolinian Forest

In the shadow of the native Carolinian forest, a quaint museum brings history to life. A great way to get in touch with the regions history and native occupants. Small community events such as Forrest Fest allow local artisans to showcase their unique skills and trades.

From desert to Ontario's Garden

The early settlers denuded the sand plains of trees, to clear land for farming, logging for building and pine trees for the masts of the Royal Navy.
The exhibits show how in 1908 the Forestry Station started planting seeds and seedlings and then transplanting them to stop the soil erosion.
There are pictures and artefacts of tools and inventions they designed.

A special exhibit is antique wooden tools, that is fascinating
