Just WOW! Ricardo, our tour guide brought to life all of Relvas' life with the passion for photography being the highlight. The building, the photography works and his passion for light, ergo the glass portrait studio made this tour a highlight for us. We are so happy we made the trek, very worthwhile and educational. A pioneer and genius in his field, Relvas' works are brilliant for his love of the common life.

Recommended visit, describes the history of Grasses. Since there are several awarded diplomas, study projects carried out by the same. Explaining the whole evolution of fatography. The Guide was quite informative and the muidos liked it quite.

A place with a lot of culture, and very beautiful, I feel it is an important point of passage through the Villa Golegã, I highly recommend.

Excellent example of conservation, preservation and restoration of our heritage. We made a guided visit, very informative and very friendly by the Guide. We took our 2 year old daughter and there were no obstacles, we were all well received.

Chegámos 40 minutos antes de fechar. A funcionária viu-nos e entrou apressadamente com um casal e fechou a porta. Tocámos e abriu dizendo, de uma forma extremamente arrogante, que estava a orientar a visita a um casal estrangeiro que tinha marcado previamente. Nem ligou ao facto de que vínhamos por indicação do turismo de Vila Nova da Barquinha, que Arrogantemente, fechou a porta de forma apressada depois de acrescentar que as visitas eram marcadas antecipadamente. Não arranjou alternativa, como por exemplo, convidando-nos para acompanhar, visto que chegamos ao mesmo tempo.
Sem dúvida, para não mais voltar. Que mau serviço da Câmara Municipal da Golegã.

If you ever messed about with photography when you were young this place is magical. There's guides who take you around and show you the birth of photography in Portugal by Carlos Relvas... the building is beautiful and the knowledge base of the guide is second to none, its cheap to get in particularly if you are of pension age. Note its closed on Mondays.

A beautiful house, designed in a very interesting way, in the context of photography. A very interesting collection of photos, but above all the guided tour was excellent, the employee told the entire story very clearly and everything was very well explained, very friendly and enlightening. I simply loved it and recommend it!!

Wonderful museum! Excellent english tour guide!
Golega is a lovely village and Estudio Carlos Relvas has a fascinating history.
Well worth the visit!
Tip - If you would like to visit in chronological order, visit this Estudio before you visit Casa dos Patudos in Alpiarca.

Excelente visita para se conhecer os primórdios da fotografia em que Carlos Relvas é um dos expoentes máximos. Esta sua casa-estúdio foi estruturada de forma a receber e a dosear a luz solar.
De salientar um surpreendente vídeo que, a espaços, é entrecortado com a voz de uma figura em tamanho real do próprio Carlos Relvas!
Concluindo, uma visita guiada, por menos de 4€,que dura cerca de uma hora (dependendo das origens linguísticas dos visitantes), bem conduzida pelo técnico presente.
Não são permitidos registos audiovisuais no interior da casa.
À entrada da casa, os visitantes são presenteados com um par de capas plásticas para o calçado para preservar a higiene e limpeza de espaço museológico.
Se uma foto vale por mil palavras, não vos maço…mais palavras para quê?!
