The church, which dates back to 1769 and houses paintings by Anton Zeiller and statues by Johann Pirger, was consecrated in 1782.
The nave is unique with a finely decorated ceiling, in addition to the aforementioned works.
The exquisite interior makes it one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Tyrol.

You can see it from a distance, overlooking the central square and its fountain.
Outwardly painted aqua green, the interior is rich in decorations.

It can be seen from afar, with its characteristic aqua green façade and the tall double-bulb bell tower. It was already mentioned in the Carolingian era but has undergone various renovations so much so that its current appearance is Baroque. Inside there is a triumph of decorations, statues of angels, frescoes. The altarpieces of the five altars are the work of the painter Franz Anton Zeiller, dating back to around 1769.
The organ is in perfect condition, used both during religious functions (the church is a parish church) and in frequent concerts.

Baroque church in the central square of Dobbiaco. Simple on the outside, with a water-green facade and the bell tower with the characteristic "onion" tip. The interior is full of frescoes and decorations. Also note the inlay on the benches, beautiful and different from each other.

Beautiful and scenic baroque church in the central square of Dobbiaco. It dates back to 1764 but its basic building has even older origins; in fact, we have to go back to the 9th century with the Benedictine monks. Inside, in a nave, there are some valuable works. Bell tower with a concert of 6 bells, some of which date back to the end of the 1400s. Worth a stop

Tipica Chiesa altoatesina con molte decorazioni barocche, altare notevole, pavimento bicolore. Ovviamente ubicata nel centro di Dobbiaco, con campanile e cimitero accanto. Peccato che, nei pressi, abbiano demolito un vecchio albergo e abbiano costruito un palazzone, a mio parere, orribile e che sia stato approvato il progetto e consentita l'edificazione!
