boat ride and food. Mr. Roy the owner is very hospitable and has rich knowledge of birds and fish. he gives a good commentary on the scenic beauty.

Boat Trip where River meet's Sea Awesome Food

Pleasent Boat Ride and Cusine , 4 Hour Total Trip with Unlimited Alcohal and Food which was Good for the Price per Person we took the morning trip 10-2pm and it was awesome weather and secenary , recommended

Beautiful boat trip

Calm and serene boat trip on the river Sal. It was easy communicating with Mr Roy for the bookings. The boat was clean and we had it just to ourselves. The lunch of fresh sea bass and prawns was excellent. Mr Roy and Sunil even let us use the kayak for free and the music and the drinks made it a memorable afternoon.

A relaxing day out.

As allways a day out on Betty's boat is wonderful experience from bird watching to watching the dolphins.Roy as allways served up really tasty food ,from the delicious garlic prawns to the main meal of fish,rice and salad.Of course the drink keeps flowing ,no sooner that you empty your glass they are filling it up again.Such a brilliant day out hic hic hic ,I think that was too much Old Monk rum and coke.

Be aware of thiefs!!!

Be aware - swindlers! We booked evening cruise with crab catching (by telephone) for 25$ per person. After arriving we was informed that cost per person is 35$.
Boat is very small (8-10 people max) and it’s dangerous to use it.
Julio ( owner?) wanted to take away our money and return short change after walking. We declined from walking, picked up our money and go to the beach.

This you must do..

If you get the chance you simply must do this it was one of the most relaxing days of our trip .On a boat gently going down river until it meets the sea ,then seeing the Dolphins then a gentle trickle back to the river anchor up and have 3 course lunch on boared drinks included all day all for 1200 rupees it was brilliant.

Fabulous day out, just skimming along the river

Luckily we booked this trip because the boat was full on the Saturday when we went! To find Betty's boat trips you have to travel through Benaulim and continue towards Mobor beach where, across the road from the Holiday Inn Betty's Place is located. It's here that you meet up and sign in with your group and one of the boatmen takes you down the path on a short walk to the quayside where the medium sized boat awaits you for your day trip. It starts at 10am and everyone boards together and is seated around a table on one of the two decks, upper and lower. We were last on the boat but had a lovely table close to the bar and cooking area which provided us with great entertainment at lunch time when the captain cooks prawns and fillets THE hugest fish we'd seen in a long time ready for the second course. Drinks are included and are plentiful and they have lots of ice for your gin and tonic, should you so choose. Setting off along the river you get to see the larger fishing vessels and the lovely villas lining the riverside, and at the end of Mobor beach the captain makes the decision as to whether it is safe to travel offshore to see the dolphins or not...sadly on our trip the tide was going out so the passage was too shallow and the waves too choppy to allow us to proceed but we returned further along the river and saw sea eagles, egrets, red kites and fruit bats in the trees. Lunch was AMAZING! The garlic butter prawns were the best any of us had ever tasted and the fish fillets with veg fried rice and salad really yummy. Afterwards we had fruit salad doused with Honey Bee, and more drinks before heading back to Betty's Place serenaded by one of the older crew members and his tambourine, which was brilliant! Fishing lines for use over lunch time whilst anchored are supplied, and several people caught fish which were returned to the water afterwards. For the price of 1100 rupees we could not have asked for a better, or more good value day out than this wonderful boat trip!

More booze than birds!

A really lovely trip. No dolphins as the sea was too rough and yes we did see many birds but we were well supplied with drinks and were given a lovely lunch, made friends and had a very relaxing day!

Lovely way to spend 5 hours

The scenery is beautiful out on the river.

We had lots to eat, all the food was really tasty.

We also had all the drinks we wanted, enough to send me to sleep in the hot sun for the last part :)

Our boat didn't go out onto the sea as it was too choppy, so we didn't see any dolphins unfortunately.

Not a complaint, just to note... We were a couple sat on the top deck. Downstairs seemed to be mostly groups of holiday makers. Got a bit merry down there, we would have preferred it more chilled out (with a bit less Abba playing, or at least mix it up a bit!) so we could soak in the nature, but that's never going to happen with all you can drink :)

All in all, a great trip, and cost just 1,100, excellent value!
