Een indrukwekkend gebied. Zorg dat je vroeg bent, want dit is een druk bezochte bezienswaardigheid. Maar het is zeker een bezoek waard, prachtig om te zien. Wij hebben daarna een fietstocht gemaakt. Zeker prachtig in deze omgeving.

This was a lot less remote than I expected. There are shops and restaurants only minutes away. Perhaps I did not do my research/homework well enough, but I was expecting to hike quite a bit before coming to this. Instead, it's just a stone's throw away. Took a couple of nice photos here but otherwise probably would not have driven out of the way to stop.

Mooie locatie. Druk, dat wel, maar we waren er ook midden op de dag. Je kan betalen voor uitzicht of zelf even lopen. Wij hebben niet betaald en hebben ook alles kunnen zien. Veel trappen! Wel begaanbaar met hond. We konden dichtbij parkeren (€7 voor 2uur of €12 voor een dag)

Schöne Aussicht, gemütliche Wanderung bis dorthin. Leider natürlich auch immer sehr voll, hier sollte man rechtzeitig vor Ort sein!

Der Blick von der Bastei-Brücke ist überwältigend. Wir hatten Glück, dass wir Traumwetter hatten und wenig Touristen vor Ort waren. Es ist also Ratsam auf einen Montag in die Bastei zu fahren. Die Brücke kann man gut aus verschiedenen Perspektiven sehen. Einmal von der neuen Aussichtsplattform von oben oder aus der Felsenburg. Es war ein schönes Erlebnis.

We stopped here on the way from Dresden to Bad Schandau, around 4 PM just in time for the sun to peak out from behind the clouds. Great views with a leisurely historical walk over the bridge and through the former Felsunburg fortress. Great time of year without large crowds. It was not easy to get specific directions or an estimate on the length of the walk but it was probably only around 3 km including a full tour of the fortress. We paid for parking about 500 meters from the entrance, where there was a toilet and a hotdog cart. The cafe was not yet open. It is free to go over the bridge but costs 2.5 euros to walk through the remains of the fortress.

Entry to this place is free of charge. We left our car 6 km away and we took bikes. The way is sooo long and difficult but it's worth
