Thật tuyệt vời khi được trang trí các dụng cụ bát đĩa bằng chất liệu sơn mài. Bột màu lấp lánh nổi bật trên nền đen bóng của chiếc đĩa và đặc biệt sau khi hoàn thiện sản phẩm tôi còn được đem nó về nhà như một món quà lưu niệm. Đây là một trải nghiệm vô cùng thú vị và ý nghĩa.

Suzuzen was a well-rounded, comprehensive facility exploring the local lacquerware art and culture. The museum was full of gorgeous pieces, and the interactive lacquerware-making experience was fun, rewarding, and not difficult, even if you have no artistic talent like me. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and want to dive deeper into traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

除了參觀會津漆器蒔繪的歷史館，還可以親手體驗做漆器蒔繪，我選的是小碟子，打算帶回家裝點心使用。雖然也可以直接用購買的，現場也有販售許多價格親切的漆器蒔繪用品，但覺得自己親手製作還是別有紀念價值。

街の人に聞きました。「漆器を見たいので良いところは？」だって余りにも漆器のお店が多くて絞り切れなかったので。それで、こちらを薦められたので行きました。展示がすごい質と量で、嬉しいことに暖房が効いていてゆっくり鑑賞できました。即売エリアは買いやすい価格のものがたくさんあります。敷地内に、麺蔵や酒蔵を新設していて胃袋をも満足させてくれました。街の中央部にあり、散策するにも絶好の立地でした。

漆器店を数件廻りながら最後に入りました。お店の隣には鈴善さんの歴史館があり漆器の歴史が学べます。トイレも借りれますのでちょっと立ち寄ると良いでしょう。お店はかなり大きく、一般の漆器以外にも、名のある職人さん作品が展示販売されています。自分用に赤黒漆塗りガラス製のぐい飲み（これでワインを頂きます）を買いました。毎日使ってます。

My fiancée, my mother and I just left Suzuzen after taking their Lacquerware course. What an extraordinary experience it was! Take a walk through their shop and see all the exquisite wares available. The artistry I tell you! We were taken in by our sensei and were able to choose our dish we wanted to decorate (for a price of course) and proceeded with the class. It was so much fun! Afterwards, if you go back to the shop and see how hard it was for you to make your own design, you’ll truly appreciate the 350 years of history to handcraft the wares at this famous store of Aizu-Wakamatsu. The staff were so friendly and we were able to meet the President of the company, who gave us a preview of his extensive collection. He said the exhibit will be free of charge! What a marvelous treat this place was and hope to come back and bring my friends!

団体バス旅行のお買い物タイムで寄りました。会津の漆器は有名らしいですが個人的には価値が分からず見るだけでした。細かく見ると色彩や仕上がりがきれいで使うのがもったいないものばかりでした。40分ほどのお買い物時間でしたが併設の日本酒の建物に行き、昨夜飲んだ日本酒「花春」を購入しました。

Aizu is famous for Urushi lacquerware. This is not quite the same as Urushi lacquerware, but there is an interesting experience at Suzuzen in Aizu Wakamatsu, Chuo 1-chome (Tel 0242 22 0680). Our family of four visited and had a great experience.
Under Nakamura-sensei’s tuition you can decorate lacquerware using urushi glue and aluminium based powder paint, which is the budget version of historically used gold leaf. Items range from chopsticks to mirrors and Y800 to Y2000. There is also an interesting gallery attached where you can buy designer lacquerware and pottery. Explanations were in Japanese, but as usual with Aizu-jin a mix of my limited Japanese, their English, hand gestures and goodwill made everything understandable
Our family of four had a wonderful time here and I would certainly recommend the experience. Thank you.
