Очень рекомендую! Основная суть на втором этаже, где рассказывают историю о Павлодаре 18хх годов. Богатая история города.

В предпоследний раз я был в этом музее ещё в школе, т.е. 30 лет назад. Последнее посещение музея случайное, несколько дней назад. Был приятно удивлен. Не плохая экспозиция. Конечно, это не Санкт-петербургский музей, но всё вполне достойно.

I enjoy visiting regional museums in different cities in Kazakhstan, so I made sure to come here during a recent trip to Pavlodar. The outside of the building is quite attractive, bright yellow and white with interesting brick detailing dating back to Russian colonial times. The museum occupies the entire ground floor of the building, and is organized into galleries of related material, starting with the paleontology and ecology of the area. These two galleries are the most interesting, and display numerous fossils as well as full skeletons of an Irish elk and a mammoth. There are also stuffed examples of various species of animals associated with forest and steppe. The remaining galleries trace the progress of human settlement of the region from the Stone age to today. There is a good collection of Bronze Age artifacts and some from the Medieval period, and then it jumps to the Revolutionary period and Soviet times, with very little about the 18th-19th centuries. The final gallery highlights the work of President Nazarbayev. The labels for most of the displays are trilingual, Kazakh, Russian and English, so it is possible to learn something even if you cannot read Russian or Kazakh.
There are also a number of life-sized dioramas with mannequins in costume, which are very well done - two that stand out are a yurt and a nineteenth century lawyer's office (on the second floor).
This museum is definitely worth the price of admission, and is a good way to pass a couple of hours in Pavlodar.

Exhibits are quite well displayed and explained. Its several areas include geology, history, culture, furniture etc., biology, and more. Good exemplars and notes, staff are helpful (unless you only speak English) open and airy and in a handsome building. A little too limited to earn 5 stars, but very worth a visit if you have any curiosity. Also, it's in a neighbourhood of lovely old buildings that are worth seeing anyway, including a large mosque in a garden obviously once a church.

To get a sense of the areas we are visiting we went into the Regional History Museum in Pavlodar about a week ago to learn more about where we are. The museum is well set up, helpful staff, most things are in three languages so we could understand at least one part of it. Some interesting exhibits about the Bronze age and some Kazakh culture and history as well. Overall pretty good museum to visit for an hour or so.

The exhibits were very well done and informative and well worth the visit. The exhibits were in Kazakh, Russian, and English. What lacking was the history of Pavlodar itself and information about the area. The prehistoric and bronze era sections were fascinating. Following that there is a jump to Kazakh culture, jewelry, and life. There was a room that combined WWII and modern life in Pavlodar (industry, etc.). The 2nd floor was devoted to the merchant who owned the building and used it for his wares. Overall, it is well worth visiting!

Были с дочерью-подростком в Павлодаре в начале июня и прогуливаясь по городу зашли в этот музей. Нигде не видела такие интересные экспонаты и такие насыщенные информацией экспозиции. Хорошее отношение персонала к посетителям.

Краеведческие музеи всегда стараюсь посещать неважно где, тут еще и подкупило то что гуляя по городу случайно набрал на него. Внутри большая экспозиция, показывающая жизнь области
