I did this on a recent trip to the CR. The instructor, Tomas, was extremely helpful and spoke English well. The other people there were helpful and fun. It's a 2-hour session on a river, but a beginner to river surfing will definitely need the full two hours. I have surfed the ocean many times and thought the river would be easy. It was not for a variety of reasons, but it was still fun and Tomas helped quite a bit. The water in September wasn't too cold. We happened to have a car and drove ourselves and was only about 45 minutes outside of Prague. Allow 3 hours with drive time.
