Lovely little trip across the water. Staff were lovely! Glorious way to spend a bank holiday, definitely recommend for a fun afternoon

Warm welcome and some points of interest were pointed out as we made our way across to Warsash. Expert boat handling and mooring , we felt safe and secure as we weaved through the busy waterway.

Pink Ferry, linking Hamble le rice to Warsash, takes about 5 mins. Best enjoyed in the morning return in the pm.

This is a very easy review - what do you want a ferry to do? Take you from A to B. This little ferry did exactly that - no frills, no drama, no problem.
The skipper seemed to be on his way over to us before we even signalled him, loading (with bikes) was safe and easy, the crossing uneventful and the task completed efficiently.
If you don’t like it or find it too expensive, you’re always free to take the 4 mile round trip via the Hamble bridge.

What a ripoff! If two people want to pop across to the other side for lunch and back that's a whopping £10.
The bus is cheaper and that's expensive enough. The ferry literally goes over the over side. You could swim it and save £10 towards a nice meal.

Credit to all especially the Skipper. A very cheery welcome. An emotional day as Dad had passed away to the year. Great little short journey and well worth it. Take dogs. You can call them any time and they come and get you but we seemed to be in the right place at the right time!

Popular ferry across to hamble. Brilliant for starting points for walks. The ferry is only a 5minute jounery zigzagging its way through the yacht's and boats. Great little experience

10/10 for convenience but the ferry man was flat out rude on both journeys. Maybe he was having a bad day but no excuse for such a poor attitude and customer service! The other ferry man seemed so friendly and polite. Maybe just pulled the short straw with Michael today? Will gladly wait for the other ferry man in the future.

Yes if you go to the mini roundabout by the coop go straight over and keep going to the carpark then walk down the alley by the side of the toilets you should see the pink ferry hut walk to it and they will see you and come across to pick you up xx

What can you do on the hamble side of the river? Just wondering if we can take a picnic and if there's somewhere to sit down and play ball too maybe

Yes there is common land on the Hamble side of the river. Also a very good cafe & the inshore lifeboat station that always keeps children entertained. The local Hamble River sailing club welcomes visitors & there is a very attractive 1 mile walk around Hamble common which follows the river & then returns to Hamble.
