This is a rectangular single-storeyed red sandstone building with three doorways on each side. The peculiar thing is that on one side the doorways are arched while on two sides they are flat.
The hall is surrounded by a pillared verandah on all sides. The roof of the verandah consists of sloping stones slabs with intricate carvings all round the top.
Not as popular as other attractions in Fatehpur Sikri.

Tan Sen, one of the nine gems of Akbar’s court, the house with 12 doors housed the court musician and singer. It has 12 doorways.

Ramtanu Pandey famous by the name of Tan sen, one of the Nine Gems of Akbar's court’s who was a famous musician lived here; the idea seems to be too absurd to be true. Not only the building is too small for a nobleman's house with only a single oblong hall, it has no attachments that are a must in a residential house such as hammams or baths, toilets or room for the ladies. Before Tansen Baradari, you will find the Kotwali - Guard Check Point

The place where legendary singer Tansen used to stay and have twelve doors. It is not well maintained and can be skipped.

Known as 'Barahdari' as it has twelve doorways. This red sandstone building is rectangular in shape with three doorways on each side. The arched doorways grace its northern and southern sides while the eastern and western sides have flat-roofed doorways. Some people believe Tansen, one of the Nine Gems of Akbar's court, who was a famous musician, lived here. Others believe the building is too small for a nobleman's house with only a single oblong hall, as it has no attachments that are a must in a residential house such as baths, toilets and room for the ladies. If you can find a knowledgeable guide, I would recommend it highly. Beware of your surroundings, and the scammers who roam the complex. Hope this helps you on your first visit.
