We went there this morning, the tour is in French and lasts an hour and a half for 300 rupees for a couple
You learn a lot, you taste, you breathe ... in short it is an exceptional visit
The small shop that makes sale is very decent price considering the quality of the spices

Visit with the owner in flaish ..so much to learn and see...so many spices and species of trees..the shop lags a bit and prices not far from overseas.
You ll see several pepper spicies in the garden, lots of cardamon and see drying machinery, cinnamon ginger and other species, vanilla, nutmeg, chilli, all-spices trees, orchideas, medicinal plants...a library

The places was soo beautiful and well maintained. The host (Abraham) is soo interactive and knowledgable about his plants. It was a wonderful experience.

What a fabulous visit to Abraham’s. Our tour was led by Abraham himself! He was incredibly knowledgeable and very kind and personable. Abraham’s garden is magical, with a huge variety of spices, fruits, Ayurvedic herbs, and flowers. What a beautiful place!

We sought out a genuine spice garden tour as we'd been taken to others that turned out to be a poor tour with a lot of pressure to buy medicines and spices in expensive stores.
Abrahams is not this and turned out to be a real highlight of our entire trip.
Mr Abraham was a wonderful host and gave us a thorough tour around his lovely garden. Overall the trip lasted around an hour and we were able to ask as many questions as we wanted and never felt rushed. We got to try lots of spices and nectar which was a great touch.
We'd 100% recommend visiting!

A few mins away from the large touristic spice gardens, Abraham's private garden has everything! We got a private tour with Abraham who knows everything (Even the spices names in different languages). We were fascinated and got to taste it all right from the plants. Red bananas, lady finger bananas, turmeric, coffee, Cocoa, elephant lemons and many many more.

This place is a real hidden paradise for lovers of nature and plants. Mr Abraham is a very interesting man that takes you through his garden, explaining each kind of tree, fruit or peculiar species. Coffee cocoa clove tamarind turmeric and many many other ones to taste or smell. Out of typical tourist routes, it’s really worth it!

Very cool Spice Garden to go to. Sir walks through his own garden with you and explains everything in a spontaneous way. Fruit, spices, coffee beans and flowers, everything passes by. He makes you taste and smell. In addition, he speaks good English and the tour is therefore easy to follow. Great experience.

Visiting the Spice Plantation at Abraham's Spice Garden was an absolute must-do experience for us. We were astounded by the wealth of knowledge we gained about nature, flora, and fauna during our tour.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a passionate and inspiring person, whose smile lit up the entire garden. We embarked on a comprehensive tour of Abraham's Spice Garden, where we had the privilege of exploring the treasures of the plantation.
Our eyes sparkled with wonder as we witnessed fresh cloves hanging from trees, spotted nutmeg, and observed pepper vines winding their way along the branches. We even had the opportunity to taste freshly harvested turmeric and sample leaves from various trees, including cinnamon and other spices.
The abundance of bananas, cocoa beans on the trees, and the presence of elephant lemons added to the enchantment of the experience. Our son delighted in sipping fresh nectar from a lady's slipper orchid, and the entire tour was a sensory delight for us all.
Overall, our visit to Abraham's Spice Garden was a truly unforgettable experience—one that we would gladly repeat every day if we could. 😊

We stopped at Abraham's Spice Garden on the strength of the reviews (and for a relative who loves Monty Don) and we're so glad we did - a real highlight of our trip. Abraham gave the two of us a tour, and getting to see all the spices growing and taste them fresh off the bushes/trees was amazing. We also picked up some spices at the shop. We noticed some other tourists looking curious who didn't stop as Abraham was already focused on talking to us further into the garden - just worth being aware you might have to wait (though there are other spice gardens very nearby that also look really good). We wondered if it would live up to the hype but it really did.

No necessity of booking tickets in advance. Very rarely visitors visit this garden. No drivers are willing to take you there. Insist the driver to take. Very informative. Worth visit.

From the Northumbrian lass. I totally disagree. Our driver actually suggested Abraham's Garden. I went on my hen and I enjoyed the experience, so knowledgable and fascinating. Be prepared to play guess the spice, well worth a visit. If I'm ever back I would go again.

Apologies for the late reply. Logged in to Tripadvisor after a very long time.
We did not go to any spice garden in Munnar. We went to Abraham's Spice Garden in Thekkady.
But I believe there are some spice gardens in Munnar as well.
Check out cinnamongardens org site.
There are many spice gardens / parks in Thekkady part of Kerala.
You will find Tea plantations all over Munnar.
Enjoy your trip to Kerala.

Abraham's spice plantation is in Kumily, approx. 150 km from Ernakulam.

The entry charges are Rs. 200 per person. You will be taken on an hour's tour around the garden.
