De Osh, nous sommes allés via le CBT ALLAY en Taxi (4 ou 5h) dans la région.
C'est certes, très joli et différent de ce que nous avons vu avant, cependant je ne pense pas que ça vaille la peine sauf si vous y avez d'autres objectifs définis.

Come da titolo, panorami stupendi sulle montagne (con vette oltre i 7 mila metri) che segnano il confine tra Kirghizistan e Tajikistan, in un paesaggio molto vario, che passa dagli altipiani lunari a vallate alpine in stile europeo, fino a canyon rosso fuoco. Noi non abbiamo avuto modo di organizzare trekking nell'area (essendo di passaggio) ma li meriterebbe senz'altro.

Culturally, visually, spiritually -- this is one of the best things I did in all of my 2 months in Central Asia. The scenery is stunning in every direction, from Lenin Peak, which would be at home in Nepal, to sandstone cliffs that could be right out of Utah, to jagged granite peaks that belong in the High Sierra. The people out here are different than anywhere else and lead interesting rural lives in their friendly, small, and rustic communities. You can go out here all alone and freedom camp, and people will still invite you into their homes for chai and yogurt. I hitched a ride from a trail with a man in an ancient tractor. You never know what's going to happen!

Może to nawiedzone, ale to nieprawdopodobnie piekne miejsce. Piekne ..monstrualne góry. Nie widziałem Himalajow ale jestem pewny , że porownywalne. Ta dolina jest jak dopełnienie tej kompozycji - są przerwą która tworzy adekwatny dystans do podziwiania Pamiru. Jednoceśnie sama dolina ma kolor, ma fakturę która zwraca uwagę. Zwlaszcza czerwone rozlewisko rzeki - rozlane w wielu odnogach poplątanych w tej płaskiej dolinie.

We passed through the Alay Valley at the end of our drive along the Pamir Highway heading towards Osh last August. The area is phenomenal and increasing in popularity with hikers, mountaineers and adventurers so we saw a fair number of people cars in the area. So many peaks in the area, you can sight Lenin Peak as well, we would have loved to hike it but time constraints and expectations in Osh had us continuing on far too soon.

One of my favourite places in Kyrgyzstan - wild, rugged, peaceful, awesome mountains, etc. Also a place that sadly very few tourists venture to... There are CBT and other B&B accommodations available in various villages in the Alay valley (e.g. Sary Mogul, Sary Tash, Daroot-Korgon) or even at Lenin Peak basecamp (there are tents & yurts provided by various tour operators). Do not expect 5-star facilities here - clean sheets & simple bath/toilet in the guesthouses.
Not a long, nor difficult drive from Osh to get to the Alay Valley. The road is newly reconstructed with Chinese grant money. The reward for the drive is fantastic scenery enroute! A compulsory photo-stop is near the top of the Taldyk Pass & look downhill at the serpentine road that you just climbed!
If you are not planning to proceed further into Tajikistan or China via their respective passes, then you will have to back-track to Osh. Can do it as an overnight visit or plan for several days of activities (hiking or on horseback).

Südlich von Osh gelangt man auf ansehnlicher Strecke Richtung Pamirgebirge und Tajikistan durch das Gulcha-Tal sowie über den Taldyk Pass nach Sary Tash auf 3200 m ü.M., dem Zentrum im Alay-Ta. Das befindet sich zwischen der Transalay- und Alay-Kette. Nach Westen fällt es gemächlich ab Richtung Dushanbe, nach Osten steigt es gleichermaßen langsam an zum Irkeshtam Pass Richtung China. In beiden Richtungen wird es von mehreren 6000ern überragt, unter denen der Pik Lanina mit 7100 m ü.M. der höchste Berg ist. Der breite Talgrund ist im Sommer klatschgrün und wird als Weidegebiet intensiv genutzt, wobei die Vieheigentümer vor allem große Schaf-, natürlich auch Pferde- und vereinzelt auch Yakherden betreuen. In dieser Zeit leben sie zumeist in ausrangierten Bauwagen, Bauzelten und stellenweise in Jurten. Großflächig werden die Weiden auch zur Heugewinnung genutzt, so dass gegen Herbst zahlreiche Lastwagen abenteuerlich beladen die M41 und A371 bzw. A372 passieren.
Das Alay-Tal selbst ist eher regenarm (322 mm/a). Die angrenzenden Bergzüge sind jedoch nachmittags zumindest im Sommer häufig bewölkt und vermitteln ein ganz anderes Bild – meist allerdings ein höchst photogenes. Nicht zuletzt deswegen habe ich in den letzten zehn Jahren die Region fünf Mal mit Begeisterung gekreuzt und immer wieder aufs Neue die Landschaft genossen, die mich auch zukünftig anziehen wird. Für mich zählt das Alay-Tal zu den drei top highlights in Kirgistan.

Алайская долина - это то место, где ощущаешь покой и безмятежность. Огромные просторы окаймленные высоченными горами, при том что высота самой долины около 3000м над уровнем моря (где-то чуть больше, где-то чуть меньше). Здесь бесполезно искать шикарные апартаменты для отдыха и изысканную пищу. Зато можно поселиться в юрте, как жили местные несколько сотен лет назад, отведать мясо дикого яка. Можно приехать на машине и спокойно созерцать бесконечность или, воспользовавшись услугами гида, устроить несколько восхождений, без фанатизма, конечно

The valley itself is a vast, deserted area, surrounded by two mountain ranges from north and south. From my experience it's worth visiting mostly as a starting point of a trekking in the mountains. Although the small, dusty villages with an amazing view of Lenin Peak have some charm as well...

We stayd in Sary Mogol, a very dusty, simple place. But if the weather is good, you can take a taxi through the plain and walk towards Peak Lenin. You can easily walk without a guid, you can't miss the trail. There's also a CBT Yurt Camp, a lake, you can pass the Peak Lenin base camp. It is very scenic and you will see lots of groundhogs.
