Excellent guide, the ethos and values of the family are excellent. To be visited at every opportunity to support the work they contribute to. It's not National Trust!! a family business that supports local charities and groups. Wonderful gardens, peaceful, good food.

Lovely day at Thornbridge Hall food and service excellent wasn't expecting much after some reviews but it was spot on all good quality the childrens packed lunch was more than good. So well thought out for children will definitely go again. Staff very welcoming.

A group of 53 u3a members visited Thornbridge Estate on 11.9.24. On arrival there was some confusion where to go etc and they really could do with a Meeter/Greeter. However, after overcoming this confusion, I have to say the Estate is well worth a visit. The owners themselves describe it as quirky and it certainly is. The café was good, we had a cream tea included. They could make more of it by having an awning outside on the terrace allowing more space, as it is quite cramped inside and very busy. Put it on your to go list

Poor quality food, yesterday’s bread & if it wasn’t then change you supplier. Minimum filling in rolls, most of what we had we left due to lack of freshness. Some staff seemed like we were disturbing them when we ordered but the older gentleman (glasses) was charming, friendly & very helpful, other staff should follow his example.

Lovely day out with mum and aunt in a wheelchair. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Did the house tour with Adam and lunch in the cafe followed by a walk around the garden. All enjoyed it very much. All of the house and some of the garden is accessible with the wheelchair but the gravel paths made for a tough workout! House is very interesting and quirky and worth listening to and understanding about the foundation. Good day out. Lots for little ones to do. Love the rubber duckie pond.

What a find! A gem of a place. Such friendly people and so welcoming to well behaved dogs too. The gardens were amazing with wonderful views across the terraces to the countryside beyond. Only the gardens and cafe visited this time but will be back!

An unexpected delight, we went to have a mooch round the gardens and a snack in the cafe as we have dogs with us on our holiday, the gardens were great fun and beautiful, the cafe unusual but fantastic. Staff member Andrea asked us if we were here for the house tour but we said sadly not as we have our dogs with us…. But she said dogs are welcome…. I literally ran for house tickets and returned just in time. What a fantastic, quirky and interesting tour and I can’t thank the owners enough for allowing us as a family (dogs included) to see into their lives and loves and passions for preserving the past but building the future. A memorable visit and definitely a trip we’d do again. Andrea the tour guide was fantastic, knowledgable and equally as quirky as the house 😝

Friendly staff, good food and stunning scenery. I would definitely recommend, the combined garden and house tour with creme tea is really good value.

Thank you - hope everyone tries the cream tea and tour offer - which also includes the gardens - people really say it is great value - oh and i have said before the scones are massive and very scrummy.

Wow, a perfect day to visit the Thornbridge Estate. Tyler greeted us warmly with great customer care!.
Adam gave us a great relaxed tour and a historical talk of this beautiful working home.
Lunch was great and the cream tea after the tour was lovely. The house, gardens, tea rooms all exceptional. A great place to visit for adults and children. We will be back soon!

The gardens are open from 9-5 on Wednesday and Thursday until the end of September.

The adult entry price to the gardens is £6, you can get to the Café and the nursery without having to pay the garden fee. The gardens are open every Wednesday and Thursday from 9am-5pm in August, and every Thursday in September.
The gardens are also open for charity on Sunday 31st July, from 10am-4pm....but you are unable to access the Café or nursery on their own that day.
