Excellent for choice. Lots of fresh stock. Prices about right for good sized plants. Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Really enjoyed our visit. A cafe would be such a good addition. Shame about the many roadworks getting there

I am local to The Plant Place and have witnessed it go from strength to strength, expanding to a fabulously large garden centre. There are so many things I love about this place, the variety of plants, value for money, lovely informative, helpful staff and the whole atmosphere. As a family run business, I am pleased to say that the focus remains on providing what is says on the tin and doing an excellent job. No fancy coffee shops creating extra overhead costs, no gimmicks and expensive displays etc. It is a proper garden centre which provides a huge range of top quality plants at fair prices. I only started gardening a couple of years ago and am learning all the time. I have found the staff to be so friendly and helpful, taking the time to share their knowledge, experience and recommendations without any pressure selling. I was diagnosed with severe PTSD and gardening has become the best therapy ever, so it was important to me that the browsing and buying experience was as stress free and relaxed as possible. It is obvious that the owners take enormous pride in their products and the staff enjoy their work, being gardeners themselves. They are only too willing to help, going over and above with offering advice and tips, their enthusiasm is contagious. I have easily bought over 100 plants and only ever lost one (probably my own fault for putting it outdoors too early) I was given advice on what I did wrong and the second one I bought is thriving. I sincerely hope that the owners continue in the same way and are not tempted to start adding a coffee shop etc, becoming too commercialised. If I want coffee, I can visit Costa, I don't expect to visit Costa and buy bedding plants! The large garden centre next door made this mistake in my opinion and priced itself out of the market, hence the success of the Plant Place. I bought some bedding plants and trailing basket plants from Morrisons on a whim while I was there. They were £2.49 each or 3 for 2 on a tray of 6. I thought they were cheap enough so planted them and to be fair they are growing. However, I then went to the Plant Place and they had a BOGOF offer on same 6 packs at £2.99, so slightly more expensive. There is no comparison between the plants now, the Morrisons ones are smaller and not as healthy, also basic colours. The Plant Place one's are blooming, twice the size and very different colours. So it took 6 Morrisons ones to fill a small basket, 3 Plant Place ones to fill the same size basket and they are so much more healthy and spreading.
In summary, a proper garden centre! No £1000 garden swings, £4.50 slices of cake etc. Just top quality plants at a good price, great staff and no frills.

I just love this place. The selection of plants is amazing and it's getting bigger and better! And that's obviously a testament to the fact that they're doing well, and that only happens when people come back again and again. What does that tell you? The staff are always approachable, knowledgeable and pleasant. All that's missing is a coffee shop 😁

This place is just the best, the variety of flowers and plants is great. We’ve been going in a lot just recently as moved into a new build house so wanted to get our new garden looking good. The staff on every occasion have been extremely helpful and two young male colleagues on separate occasions even helped us load what we’d bought into our car, they offered which is something we’ve never come across before. Overall outstanding.

Ryan.... what a member of staff you have working for you... Although it was mothers day and you were really busy Ryan went above and beyond to help, advise and recommend what we needed to put in our planters..
We will be back in a couple of weeks for more and hope we bump into him again.

Great garden centre. Visited here today for the 1st time dog friendly so I was able to take my dog with me. Great selection of Christmas decorations, trees, wreaths, accessories everything you could want! All well spread out across the shop/garden centre so plenty of room to have a good look round. Great place all staff very friendly and smiling 🙂.

This is an excellent place for plant lovers. There is a good range of perennial plants in good condition if a little expensive. We bought a couple of plants that I’ve been unable to find anywhere else. We will certainly return again in spring to make more purchases. The staff were knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful.

We have shopped at The Plant Place for many years and they have a great variety of plants, shrubs, fruit trees and gardening products. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. It was great to be able to go back after the lockdown and the social distancing procedures are in place so shop with confidence. Support your local garden centre.

I buy all my plants from here, there prices are the best around & they pretty much have anything you could possibly want, it is very rare that I have to go elsewhere, they have excellent houseplant range & their xmas displays are too die for.
So if you want a good all year round trip out for some flowers etc look no further this garden centre is not the biggest in the world but it is certainly one of the best.
Very helpful staff always around to direct & advise you as well
