Lovely Beach to walk. The walkway beside the beach is long but made for easy walking. Great for family outing with kids. Look out for the sculpture MARY’S SHELL: A huge metal sculpture, 8m long and 4m tall, the shell weighs 16.5 tonnes. Fastened to its own concrete foundation, it is cast into the beach. It is completely visible once the tide goes out and is large enough for you to climb inside it and take a really good look.

We moved up to the area because of Cleveleys and the sea fron with its very good promenade. This offers good flat walks and vantage points to view the Irish Sea

One of the major problems with Cleveleys is parking. My wife has a blue badge disabled parking permit, but can you use it in Cleveleys, NO. The disabled places in Cleveleys car parks require other permits issued by the Council, we have never met this in any of the other places we park. It is quite a cruel policy. I also wonder whether it is legal, it certainly doesn't go with the spirit of blue badge. It's shameful.

Fantastic walk along the front, but unfortunately the GREEDY wyre COUNCIL has put pay and display everywhere along the front, so when you want to enjoy the view/ walk you have to pay. This is why Cleveleys needs removing from the map its a ugly dated place, no one visiting to shop because you cannot park up anywhere with being charged or getting a ticket!!! Greed Greed Greed from the badly outdated council. Sea view 5 stars. Cleveleys NIL Stars...

So its a beach front… theres often a lot of family’s here as well as the many creepy weird people that I often see lurking around this area. The beach is ok but does feel grubby and I definitely wouldn’t go near the water as its a disgusting shade of sewage brown.

I found it so peaceful to put my headphones on and listen to some music while walking down the Cleveleys promenade, it was also cool to look at the Abana Shipwreck before the tide came in and then the waves were so awsome I belive that if you are stressed or having a hard time or even want some quick fresh air, I would recommend a walk down Cleveleys promenade. 😁

There are toilet cubicles and outside beach showers just next to the cafe immediately opposite the Venue bar.

You can walk along Cleveleys promenade , with your dog on its lead, from the centre to The Venue. after that you can continue on the promenade with the dog on its lead or you can let it run free on the beach. There is a beach dog ban from Cleveleys to the Venue from May 1st until end of September

Many people were riding bikes along the prom. I can not say that it is all the way from Blackpool because I haven't travelled the whole route, but certainly from Norbreck Castle in to Fleetwood is definitely finished and bike friendly.

To Sozzle27 and other visitors with Dogs.
Please remember the by-laws= dogs are NOT suppose to be on the beaches in summer from May to September.
If you do so you can be fined. Respect other beach users & keep your dogs off the beaches in summer please.

It’s not just about respecting other beach users, it’s also to do with water quality (sadly not all dog owners clear up after their pets) and a lot of beaches around the UK restrict dogs beginning of May to end of September. The promenade however is lovely for a well behaved dog (on its lead) so don’t let the bylaws put you off
