we went for the flea market and I bought a few things. I had never been there before. I enjoyed looking at the old house right on the water.

Stopped here for a picnic break .. sat by the water and enjoyed the view .. grounds are well kept as are the buildings. Well done folks !!!

John R Park Homestead is a very enjoyable and educational place to visit. Children would enjoy themselves here if they haven't already visited here on a field trip from school. The property is set up as it would have been when the structure were constructed in the 1800s. The staff here dress in period costume and present to visitors the way life was in it's time, with interactive activities to be enjoyed.
We stopped by for the maple syrup festival, and really enjoyed our visit. The property overlooks Lake Erie and it's frozen surface provided a wonderful backdrop.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and all was quiet...what a beautiful spot to soak in the history of the area and the waves of the lake. The gardens were lovely and everything so very well kept. Keeping an eye when the next event is on there as we would like to see the area in full swing! A wonderful locale to walk about hand in hand!We will be packing a picnic for the next visit!

John R. Park Homestead is on the Waterfront in Harrow, Ontario, Canada. It is one of the oldest homes in Essex County. The tour guides are knowledgeable on the homes history. It is a wonderful estate to bring children for a look at life as an early Ontario Settler.

My family loves this festival. We have attended the last two years. My niece and nephew love all the activities they can participate in. This year my nephew especially liked the nail puzzle he was giving to play with from the blacksmith and my niece loved making a doll out of corn husks. They also loved the water pumping station, the activities in the main house and climbing on the rocks. This waterfront property is beautiful. We lucked out with sunny skies and warm weather this year and last so we were able to take some family photos against the red barn and along the waterfront. We will attend again in the future. We want to try some of the other events offered throughout the year. Check it out with your kids, a fun spot for all ages.

Took my 9 year old son the this fall festival and had an amazing time. The weather was perfect, the food was great and the visit to all the building was a great flash back in time. My son even enjoyed the corn husk boy-doll making. Such a great event and all the volunteers were very helpful. Thanks again.

We were looking for some wineries and ended up coming across this place. We took the kids out and the dog. The ladies opened up the buildings and took the family for a tour, for a donation. Our children learned a lot about John R Park and the history of the place. Glad we made the stop.

John R. Park Homestead is open Sunday thru Thursday 11 am to 4:00 p.m - Prices are $6.00 for Adults, $4.00 for children and package for a family is $20.00 Max. Enjoy this site... the tour guides are wonderful!

Why isint this site open on FRIDAY AND SATURDAY?!? These are two of the biggest tourism days of the week! What a shame!

The John R. Park Homestead is opens in May thru the summer months to early fall. Due to the rain and unpredictable weather from October to the end of April the park remains closed.
