Love the Viewpointe. Best winery in Harrow. Large open patio with a beautiful view. Friendly staff. Delicious food and wine reasonably priced. Music every weekend all summer. We enjoyed it several Sundays in Spring and Summer. Looking forward to going again next Spring.

Beautiful location over looking Lake Erie. Wine was tasty, but served in plastic glasses!?! Say no more.

Google won't let me give anything less than one star, but really this place owes me stars. When you drive in you are filled with a sense of potential: the lovely field of grapes, an impressive castle-like structure, and a view. Oh, what a lovely view of the lake. STOP there. Turn back. Because if you don't, you run off a proverbial cliff. Viewpoint is a winery that seems run by a 15-year-old who lied about his age to get near a drink. The Wine-Appaloosa atmosphere of drink tickets and wine-on-tap served in plastic cups lacks any charm or class.The two wines my wife and I ordered were mediocre. I can handle mediocre wine, but the lack of charm and care that is practiced here...wow. My plastic takeout container 'charcuterie board' was brought out by a robot. Who seems to have designed the entire customer experience. There is nothing here to make me want to come back. In fact, all the other wineries in the area need to stage an intervention as this place lowers the bar for all of Essex. John, (the owner) you need help. You need an infusion of charm or maybe you just need to care a little bit about the impression people get when they come to your vineyard. The view might be spectacular, but honestly it doesn't make up for the horrid experience. John, get some help. And until he does, everyone else stay away.

This winery has one of the best views however was disappointed with the wine tasting. Little plastic shot cups were used and placed in a paper plate. Other wineries used real glass. Gorgeous views but probably wouldn’t recommend to friends as one of the better wineries.

The wine tasting experience should be upgraded from cardboard trays and plastic glasses. The yellow jackets are out in full force and yet the indoor dining experience was not available even with vaccine protocols in place in Ontario.

The wine was the worst in the area. They were out of beer. They sold tickets for drinks that were already sold out.

The view is lovely and the entertainment was good. Was disappointed in the service and the lack of sanitizing. You had to stand in a very slow line to get a drink ticket and then stand in another long line for the wine. Also I never seen any of the tables sanitized after one group left and another group sat down. Other wineries followed more covid safety rules.

Hubby and I in the area for a short mini vacay.
It was recommended we give Viewpoint a try.
We shared pickeral tacos and French fries. Both were truly amazing.
I enjoyed a glass of white wine and hubby had a beer. He didnt like the beer but the wine was nice though it was in a plastic glass, so much better in a real wine glass.
One thing I thought was tacky was the porta potties.
If in the area again we will come again
It was recommended we give Viewpoint a try.

Not very accommodating. You have to line up to order food and beverages. There is a sign that says, “no substitutions” for ingredients etc. I asked if that was because all the food was prepackaged and she said, “no it’s just because the kitchen gets too busy”. LOL therefore don’t bother them with your food preferences. Then I asked if I could go inside to use the restroom. Again the answer was no. Customers were supposed to use the disgusting portopotties. They seem to think that customers should feel they are doing us a favour by allowing us to come there and give them money. Very little effort on their part to be accommodating. Covid or no covid, every other place allows customers to use the indoor restrooms. Plus, every other place lets customers make changes to food orders. We won’t be going back there. The Oxley has better food and are more appreciative towards paying customers. There is an attitude and an effort problem at Viewpoint. Many other wineries with better food and a more accommodating philosophy.
