Preston Library is a public library, administered by the Darebin City Council. However, anyone can join the library if they have proof of identity. The library has newspapers in a variety of languages The book collection caters to a wide variety of interests. The library has a number of meeting rooms, which are used by community groups. The Preston Library is well-run and is a valuable community resource.

This library is one of the best public libraries in the north of Melbourne. It caters for a diverse community of users. People are going to the Preston Library more now that the Covid epidemic is abating, although some users are still hesitant about using the library. The meeting room, which was once closed, is now accommodating community groups once again.

Preston is a post-industrial inner suburb 6 miles (9km) north of the centre of Melbourne. It is a long-standing multi-cultural suburb and the Preston Library's collection and services reflects this ethnic diversity. Apart from monographs (books), the library has daily newspapers in English and other languages. The library has a meeting room that can be hired by community groups. Some restrictions may apply due to ongoing Covid restrictions.

I do not live in Preston, but because I have a connection to the community I use the library often. The library has a good collection of newspapers, including the non-English speaking press. It has some good books. There's also a meeting room, but at the moment, it can only accommodate 10 people, due to the Corona virus lockdown. It's a well-run, medium-sized library; it's not usually noisy. By the way, if you have a library membership card you can use the library's computers.

Preston Library is in Gower St, just off High St,.near the Town Hall. The LIbrary has a wide range of newspapers, including foreign language newspapers. The library also has computers for public use. The monograph copllection is quite extensive (that is, it has lots of books). The Library has a meeting room which can be hired. By the way, it is quite easy to join the library if you have a local connection.Preston Library is a good library for quiet reading and is also useful for research.

Called in for some power for laptop and phone, but also a safe place to while away the time, waiting for a funeral down the street.
A lovely little library, a little noisy with stuff for wee little kids, but lovely they we’re enjoying the activities.

Always make time to go for a coffee, ( Best coffee ☕️ ever, been a few times, never fails to impress myself and friends with the service and great coffe 👌🏼👍🏼X

I joined the library when I arrived in Preston. The staff were very helpful and I was able to explore various materials and get on-line without any drama. I could work in a quiet area with power for my laptop, as well as relax and read in pleasant chairs around the library.
This resource is a gem in Preston. I love it and will be returning.

Preston Library has a great array of books, plus newspapers and magazines. Computers are also available for use; you can bring your own laptop. It's also a venue for fun and games for babies, up to kindergarteners. The library also has rooms for use by community organisations, such as Rostrum. You can join the library and borrow books so long as you have some connection to the community. The Preston Library is in Gower Street, near the corner of High St, Preston. It's quite a comfortable and modern library

The opening hours are really flexible and open late during the week. Perfect if you work a full time job during the day.
