We were looking for an authentic wine tasting experience in a short distance from Bern. We gave a chance to Cave Guillod located in Praz on lake Murten, and it turned out to be a real gem. Cedric Guillod, a 4th generation winemaker, introduced us to his family wines. We spent about 2-3 hours tasting wines with the cake of Vully, and touring the vineyards and the small production site. We felt welcomed and enjoyed the authenticity of the place which is hard to find nowadays. If we happened to be in the area again I am sure we will come over for a second round of tasting.
