The sun was shining, the wind in south west, a few cumulus clouds and Red Bluff was at its best. One of the prettier parts of the bay and best part of Black Rock.

The red bluffs along this stretch of the coastline are different to any other parts of the coast and some of tjhe prettiest . The best views are at beach level.

The sandstone cliff is seen from far off and is very distinctive. We walked from Sandringham and saw it as we walked the Coastal Trail.

Red Bluff is quite distinctive and different to the others parts of this section of the Port Phillip Bay coastline with its iron oxide coloring.Half Moon Bay to the south is very attractive and the Sandringham Beach to the north is OK as well. There is a good walking path on top of the cliff and good areas to view the Bluff.

Me and my partner walked here on our day off and it was a lovely day out. there isn't much else to do other than walk along the beach but it a nice day out and a beautiful place to visit

Red sandstone cliffs with beaches below and a cliff top walk above. It is a great place to visit. Up by the road there are separate paths for cyclists and walkers, with images of paintings from local artists matched to actual views.

Red Bluff is a cliff towering above Half Moon Bay at Black Rock. The beach is safe and has both parking and food nearby.

Local bay beach with good swimming in summer and high sandstone cliffs with unique formations also good views over over bay and the cerberus ship wreck

I always park in a side street near the entrance to the Bluff. I walked along the Bluff tops this time as I had limited time to visit the area. The sun was shining and there were people on the beach and even a guy training up and down the cliffs. The area has plenty to see with the Black Rock pier and beach right there also.

the views of the cliff's are awesome from here. Best to go on a sunny day when you can go swimming in the bay. it's awkward for parking but well worth it.

Hi All
We are walking down the coast from Melbourne to the tip of Mornington peninsula, doing one stretch at a time on a weekly walk. From our walk last week we saw Red Bluff cliffs from the north and were wondering if it is actually possible to walk round the cliffs from sea level? Or do we need to go up top and down the other side?
I can't find any info on this, hope you can help.

The cliffs are located in Black Rock. You could walk in front of them but it would require you to climb over some flat rocks at beach level to continue your walk along the coastline. I have walked from the Black Rock SLSC and along the pier front and out along the base of Red Bluff cliffs.
