What a "lekker" place!
chilled vibe, relaxed, peaceful, friendly and beautiful nature.
I already knew that Langebaan is a cool kite spot, but I couldn't imagine that it's so awesome!
Two different spots (main beach and shark bay) with different wind intensities, and especially shark bay perfect for beginners (shallow water). I was super lucky that I chose "kitesurfing langebaan" : warm welcome , easy communication, flexible, everything well prepared, very good experienced kiting instructors, good teaching skills and the most important thing, a lot to laugh with those guys! I improved much faster than I would have expected, thank's to Thomas, Jan and Timba!
In the evening there are some restaurants and bars you could go to, but sometimes you're just happy to fall in your bed and dream about the awesome day!
I'm already looking forward to go again!!

Great place to spend your kitesurfing holiday! Langebaan is an charming little seaside town @ the South African Coast, at the edge of the Langebaan lagoon. The lagoon is perfect for beginners since you can easily get on the board. The guys from Kitesurfing Langebaan are awesome: good teaching skills, with state of the art kitesurfing materials. And with good weather conditions (lots of wind!!!) I would say that every kitesurflover has to visit this place one day!

Although the fact the lagoon is not very large, it is a very nice a spot and beach located in a very small city with the most friendly inhabitants and tourists.
Depending on the tides, it is possible to kite with offshore winds
Multiple little bars and restaurants to stay several days.

Most popular kite surfing mecca in the western cape with good wind and safe waters. The yearly Down Wind Dash which is a race from Langebaan to Sandanha bay attracts kite and wind surfers from all over the world.

Wer eine kleine, professionelle Kiteschule sucht, wo man von einem professionellen, freundlichen und geduldigen Kitelehrer betreut wird, der ist hier richtig. Thomas, der Eigentümer, macht den grossen Unterschied zu den anderen Kiteschulen in Lagebaan. Auch Materialmiete ist möglich und preiswert inklusive "Insider Tipps". Wenn man zudem noch eine schöne Unterkunft sucht, kann man hier auch gleich noch direkt am Meer wohnen. Darum: Kitesurfing Langebaan ist die beste Wahl in Langebaan!

Only 2 h relaxed drive from downtown CapeTown there is this blue, warm flat water lagoon. Nice controlled conditions with boat rescuers just in case... The spot itself is right on the beach, only a minute drive from the actual base which itself sits right on the beach too. Nice rooms, swimming pool just 10 m from the beach where you can watch other kiters play. I would recommend the spot and the school to anyone but it is possibly best for beginners and refreshers. Thomas was our instructor that day and we did make fast progress after a 3 year divorce from kiting :)

Wat heb ik genoten van mijn Kerstdagen! Hartelijk bedankt Thomas, dankzij jou is mijn Kerstdag niet in het water gevallen haha:)
Buitengewoon hoe aardig Thomas me heeft opgevangen op 2e Kerstdag. Vroeg opstaan met een grote smile. Serieuze instructies want veiligheid staat voorop!
Er was genoeg wind voor een beginneling. En toen de wind wat instabieler werd zijn we met het toffe bussie naar Shark Bay gegaan.
Een echt prachtige locatie met vlak water, een paradijs om te oefenen.
Met een 3 daagse cursus heb ik echt het gevoel het te kunnen leren.
Ik neem weer contact met je op Thomas als je weer terug bent in NL of als ik weer richting Zuid-Afrika ga.
Dit smaakt naar meer!

It was our first kite surfing experience, and we greatly enjoyed it.
Thomas and Graeme are excellent teachers and in just 5 hours we felt confident and at ease with the kites. Too bad we couldn't come back the next day for the extra 3 hours we needed to start kiting with a real surf. But we'll be back next year.
I recommend Kitesurfing Langebaan & Cape Town without reserve, and will definitely be back

I had a really great experience doing a 3-hour refresher course and renting equipment on the following day.
I got in contact with Thomas before I arrived and he was flexible enough to arrange a 3-hour late afternoon refresher session for the same day. The session took place at shark bay which is a great kite spot for both beginners and more experienced kites. The rented kite equipment (everything including wetsuite) was pretty new. During the session, Thomas was super helpful and I could make tremendous progress (e.g. surfing upwind and transitions). The entire interaction was super smooth, relaxed and friendly. I highly recommend Kitesurfing Langebaan to anybody looking for lessons or rental equipment.
