Aparcamos en el parquing gratuito que hay al lado del "fuerte", el cual estaba cerrado, y allí anduvimos cerca de dos horas. El recorrido es muy fácil y cómodo, encuentras alguna fuente pero debes llevar agua si es temporada de verano. También hay muchos bancos para admirar el paisaje, y ojo, el viento allí es muy fuerte. No hicimos toda la ruta, es muy larga, pero con un rato ya te enamoras de los acantilados.

Se llega en transporte público, comienza con un paseo asfaltado por donde circulan peatones y corredores, las vistas son impresionantes, y puedes llegar hasta Sopela, unos 9 kms.

Un lugar por el que paseo a menudo. La imagen idílica habitual es con sol, mar azul y aguas tranquilas.
Un día de potente noroeste con olas y viento golpeándote en la cara (bien pertrechado para la ocasión) una experiencia inolvidable.
En cualquier situación, los acantilados de Azkorri merecen la pena,..., y el paseo

Buenas, yo lo haría en dos días distintos, por los acantilados se anda bastante y por San Juan, desde donde se dejan los coches a la ermita hay bastante camino y con mucho desnivel.

We will be docking at Getxo in Spain in September for about 10 hours and I was wondering if it is feasible to walk from the port to Getxo - see the Vizcaya Bridge and then walk up to Acantilados de Azkorri?
And is there anything else that is worth seeing or doing?

Hi Helen, we went with our bikes from Vizcaya bridge to a restaurant in Getxo called The Willow, had a really nice lunch there and then cycled to Azkorri. My husband and I are active people so cycling was ok for us, however most of the road was uphill and can get a bit tiresome. I recommend cycling it would take you less travel time and still u get to enjoy the towns you passby. There is also a mini bar on the hill top for refreshments. It took us about an hour and a half from the Willow restaurant.
I recommend you check the map and see if you are able to walk the distance. We planned this trip as a day trip from Bilbao and were back in the evening. Hope this helps.
