The museum has lots of interesting information, displays and some artefacts in very good condition. However, it is run down and doesn't have any staff who are interested in helping you make the most of your visit to the museum, so I was most disappointed.

If you are interested in the local history, this is a must. From the old arms storage area in the school area which exploded all those years ago , to the history of the Millers and Scotts the first settlers in the area, and the Griqua's led by Adam Kok.
This is a beautiful place at the foot of the Drakensburg a gem waiting to be discovered.
