Interesting Exhibit for Archers

As a new archer I wanted to explore the Korean history of the sport and the martial aspects in Korean history. The museum is convenient to the subway but a bit of a trek from downtown Seoul. When you get off just walk past the stadium and look for the bow. In Korean it is the Museum of the Hwal (Bow).
As archery is a national sport in Korea I was surprised it wasn't well known. Their tourism office looked it up and directed me to it when I asked, though. Archery cafes are becoming popular in Korea but I was more interested in the history.
First off, the museum does not have much english in terms of signage. It is small but definitely worth the visit. The receptionist did not speak english but was very friendly. Another woman came in a bit later that spoke some english. There was no charge.
It was well worth the trip. It is a small place but the exhibits were unique. I had also seen excellent archer warrior costumes on men marching in the lantern parade in Seoul.
If you are into archery, check it out.

부천종합운동장 옆에 있습니다. 종합운동장에 수석발물관, 자기박물관이 있기 때문에 같이 보면 좋습니다. 활 박물관들은 생각보다 크지 않습니다. 박물관 관람 후 종합운동장이나 원미공원에 들리면 좋습니다

우연히 들른 활 박물관

부천에 있는지도 몰랐다가 우연하게 들르게된 활 박물관
아담한 전시공간에 각종 활에 대한 자료와 역사등을 기록해 놓고 있어 아일랑 잠시 들르기 좋습니다.

Good but expected something more

This place is between the Bucheon football stadium and the Azalea Garden - short walk from the Bucheon Stadium metro station, line 7. It's a very small museum with displays of various traditional Korean archery equipment and artifacts, as well as other weapons. There is also a theater room showing interesting videos of bow making and fletching. Unfortunately for me, everything in the museum is in Korean only... If you don't speak or read Korean, bring a Korean friend or tour guide! I finished in less than 30 minutes and had lunch in the "Coffee and Noodles" cafe next door, overlooking the archery range behind the museum. I thought there would be more to the museum considering Korean Olympic archers are the best in the world, but overall it was a good experience for someone interested in archery with an hour to spare.

아이들의 체험학습

부천에는 다양한 박물관이 있는데 종합운동장 근처에 위치해 있고 종합운동장에 있는 다른 박물관과 함께 투어하게되면 좀더 저렴한 가격에 표를 구매할 수 있습니다.
여러가지 활들과 이름이 생각이 안나는데 큰 화살통들을 볼 수 있습니다. 아이들 체험학습으로 좋습니다.
옆에 국궁장도 있습니다.
