Practically the continuation of Playa de San Juan we went there after visiting the Monastery of Santa Faz and in view of reaching at sunset the site Illeta dels Banyets in the municipality of Campello which is about ten minutes by car.
Sandy beach partly equipped, sea with posidonia, few people, just to spend a few hours in peace.

The sand is fine, the water is very clean, it is a spacious beach both in length and width, which is naturally appreciated, you can practice water sports, has a good boardwalk and bars and restaurants stuck to the beach. There is a good public transport service that comes very well to not rely on the car. For 33 years, in summer they choose a day, to celebrate the famous "Cross of the Dawn El Campello" the last two years I have been lucky to participate and the truth that is very exciting this race, because it is entirely by the beach

Great beach with wide walk but no bike path with enough room. The city council should set up a piece on the same sidewalk and not just go into boxing with tickets.

At the end of June 2024: beautiful beach with palm trees, ideal for sports, very sparsely populated, and place ready the world, beautiful walkway at the end of the day, and super convenient with the tram

Pleasant, beautiful beach, with countless possibilities to spend time alone, as a couple, with family... it has easy access but parking is complicated during the holiday season. It is normally empty except for the local stores. It has a dog area where you can enter with the dog without disturbing the staff. The best time to visit the beach and take a swim may be from June onwards, later on it begins to become overcrowded with tourists. Ideal for any type of plan.

El Campello . We were there 1 month. Actually had several problems that meant we will never visit this place again. Briefly some examples. 1st day ticket. We followed the advice of the motorcycle officer. 50 meters further we were stopped by a female motorcycle police officer. Incident occurred at 12:02 p.m. It turned out that there was a cycling ban after 12 noon. The female officer wrote 12.15 pm on the receipt. Contacted the police via the tourist office. The 2 officers completely disagreed. A protest was filed on the advice of the officer. No response to email. Same email sent via VVV. Police response: we cannot answer because the officer who handled these types of complaints died 3 months ago. ?!?!? Ordered pasta with seafood at a restaurant on the boulevard. Got a zucchini spaghetti with currants?!?!?! My wife fell in the evening. Hardly anyone on the street that evening. Pharmacy was open. If my wife was not able to go to the pharmacy with heavy bleeding, I could only buy a bottle of disinfectant. Reported on Trustpilot. Pharmacy response. We are not a first aid post. Finally, fantastic tram connection Alicante Benidorm. Asked at the tram information desk if we could take 2 small dogs with us. No problem under certain conditions. Meet all requirements. No problem on the way there. On the way back. My wife was allowed to continue with the small dog, but I was not allowed to continue with the other small dog. Reason, the dog was not in an iron cage. Security got involved. They were completely behind me. But the lady at the tram station refused. In the end my wife went back alone. Myself ? Finally walked to the next tram station. No problem there. All in all, 3 hours on the road instead of 20 minutes. So NEVER EL CAMPELLO AGAIN. These are just a few points. The attitude of the police is far below standard.

Highly recommended hotel, great service from the reception staff, waiters, etc. Cleanliness a 10. The room and bathroom were great, air conditioning would be missing in summer.

Playa de Muchavista is actually a stretch of the long San Juan beach with its 7 km long.
Pleasant walks.
Wide strip of sand, so even in high season you can always find somewhere to put your towel, provided you don't absolutely want to be at the water's edge.
Many restaurants and toilets.
Accessible by tram from Alicante.
Beach accessible to people with reduced mobility, equipment and dedicated first aiders.

We loved this beach, We stayed at the ‘quieter’ end, right opposite the beach, there is a nice bar and a few good restaurants literally on the doorstep and the beach is never very busy.The tram station is very close and good links to El Campello town where there are loads of seafront restaurants and to Alicante in the other direction.

Este próximo verano quiero ir a una buena playa de arena fina , con mi hija de 3 años y mi mujer, estoy entre San Juan y Campello pero también busco un hotel familiar que este buen y cerca de la playa. Alguien puede orientarme un poquito? Muchas gracias.

A mi juicio si buscas arena blanca, el lugar idóneo es la Playa de San Juan que pertenece al término de Alicante y la Playa de Muchavista que pertenece al término de El Campello, y digo las dos porque en realidad una es conitinuidad de loa otra, eso si si quieres un hotel haz pronto la reserva porque a pie de playa hay poca oferta, el Hotel Villa de San Juan sería una de las mejores alternativas.

El campello certainly has some nightlife but of course it is several notches calmer than benidorm and alicante
