Get there early (before 8:30 and the tour buses). We got there at 8:20 and just beat the tour buses, so checking in was a breeze. The staff is very efficient at checking you in. We had 4 people doing the full package and 3 not ziplining, and the agent was quick to help suggest the best order to do things in. Although you can walk the bridges at any time, the , reptile, sloth and butterfly tours only leave at 8:30, 10:15 and 11:15. The reptile/sloth/butterfly are done as a whole thing. Our full package group did the bridges, and just made the 10:15 tour of all of them. That allowed them a little time for lunch before the 1:30 canopy tour. Our partial package group (elderly parents) completed the bridges by 11 and took the later rep/sloth/butterfly tour. They divide people into each group - go with the smallest group (probably not the sloth) and then visit the others. The staff is good at helping you figure out your schedule. The food at the restaurant is excellent and the staff is really great. We took 20 year olds, 50 year olds and 80 year olds - and all had a great time! It was beautiful and a very fun experience! My husband and kids really enjoyed the ziplining and said the staff made it incredibly fun for them.

We had an organised small private tour (4 of us) with the amazing Carlos who knew everything and was able to point out where the wildlife was. As with every tour guide, Carlos had a scope which he set up and we could see very clearly the birds and got some great photos from the scope on our phone cameras. Our tour was about 2 hours and well worth it walking through the cloud forest, over hanging bridges. It was amazing to see the canopy of the trees, when can you see the top of a tropical forest?!
We saw various varieties of toucans, bats, even a tarantula and finally got to see a quetzal, what a magnificent bird. She was sat in a tree calling her mate and then took flight.
Selvatura Park has done really well setting up a well organised area for tourists to visit, shop was spacious, restaurant large with some decent food, including local dishes.
They were able to cater for a gluten. The Park also provides transport back into Monteverde or your specific hotel which means you can stay there longer and walk around the bridges again.
We followed up our hanging bridges tour with a guided trip to the butterfly house which was also well worth it as so many pretty butterflies. We were even able to watch a few butterflies hatching.

We visited the sloth sanctuary. It was a very positive experience. We were grateful to view so many of the beautiful creatures in an environment in which they are obviously cherished and well cared for. Our guide was really good and provided us with tons of information.

We had a great experience here! The staff and our guides were extremely friendly and made the experience a 10/10. I highly recommend you come to this location. There are over 13 ziplines some of which end up being a kilometre long ! Everything was efficient and fast and we had a great time.

It was exciting and beautiful. The staff were so friendly and helpful and did all they could to make us feel safe while ziplining. There was never a rush to move on. I just felt that their Main goal was to be sure we had a great experience! The views were incredible! Later, We had an amazing guide, Juan Carlos, to take us through the hanging bridges. He was so informative! The pride and joy and enthusiasm he expressed when he was able to point out various animals and plants was contagious. We even got to see a male and female quetzal with his help! Su h a great day!

Primero fuimos a los puentes colgantes, es impresionante ver las copas de los árboles desde arriba. Súper segura la actividad para realizar con toda la familia. Cuando terminamos fuimos a hacer canopy. Fue increíble! Nos tocaron guías súper buena onda, nos sentimos siempre seguros. Nuestro grupo estaba conformado por adultos y un nene de 4 años que se tiro en todas con un guia, y la paso genial! Hay dos tirolinas, de las 13 que hay en total, que te podes tirar de a dos. Es una experiencia increíble!

On the trails and hanging bridges, it is a one of a kind experience of the virgin rain forest. You will.be amazed at the plant life that grows on the trees. We saw a Resplendent Quetzal, too. I'm glad we did this in addition to the Monteverdw Rain Forest Preserve and the Curi Cancha Reserve.

This is an operator that herds hundreds of people through its activities daily- and it is noticeable in how you are treated and “processed” during the ZIP LINING portion of the package. There are 13 lines, but 4 or 5 are VERY short (good for beginners!) The 2 long lines are fun- but you must do both of these in tandem, unless you choose to do the second in the “Superman” position. Re the Superman- the billboard pictures are NOT indicative of the experience… you are required to complete the run with both arms folded tightly across your chest- no emulating the super hero with outstretched arms! The Tarzan swing was a blast, but definitely not the most extreme in the area- other outfitters have higher swings. Compared to another 13 line zip we did in Nosara, this one was not quite as professional or attentive. The equipment seemed a bit older here as well. The good, though, was that you did not have to brake yourself with a gloved hand!
A note about PHOTOS- the digital pics are NOT sold individually, but sold only as a package and are quite expensive. And no pictures are taken of your Superman flight! Have friends and family help you document this experience!
The BRIDGE WALK, however, was a wonderfully enjoyable experience. You can take your time traversing the trail and 8 bridges through the cloud forest at your own pace. No need to do this one in a crowd! Beautiful hike!

This was thrilling and spectacular. We were not prepared for that level of natural beauty. The foliage is on an unimaginable scale and zip-lining allows you to experience nature from this rare perspective. It truly was a transcendent experience. We also upgraded to the superman harness, which was totally terrifying for one of us when clipping in, but worth it. The guides were very safety-conscious and communicative with the group about our expectations so we felt very at-ease. After zip-lining, we explored the hanging bridges. There, we were able slow down and appreciate the nature.

It is a very high weight limit. Multiple people are on the bridges at one time unless explicitly annotated.

Our travel company asvised us to wear hiking boots and wear old clothes. Is that really necessary as I do not want to pack boots. And why old clothes? We will be there the second week of January Thanks K

I would like to know whether admission to the Hummingbird Garden at Selvatura is included in the entrance fees of other activities or is there a separate charge. It's one of the activities I really would enjoy but on the Selvatura website there is no mention of the fee for the Hummingbird Garden.

You can do a combo. We booked ours through our hotel, Camino Verde. But I believe you can purchase at the gate as well.

No problema de plazas, yo pienso, si usted reserva el día anterior llegar a monteverde. Pero nosotros habemos Solo los puentes. Reservamos el misma día.
I don't think that there will be a problem if you reserve the day before arriving. We only had the bridges, but we booked it two hours before arriving.
