We came here in July to pick strawberries and then stopped off at the store to buy some more goods. The berries were nice although they didn’t taste as sweet or tasty as the organic farm we went to near toronto.
Afterwards my kids decided to stay and play around with the wagons. My daughter unfortunately had a tantrum and was crying, we tried to calm her down but it takes her while to stop being upset. The store clerk was glaring at us the whole time, at first that maybe I was mistaken and she was just bored and looking around, but then she came out of the store and told us “just so you know, there are peoole that live there”, pointing at a house on the property, but not next to the store. So we had to leave, which unfortunately meant my daughter was even more upset. Mind you this was 7:30 in the evening, the store was still open. This was not late at night, and while I get that it’s not pleasant to listen to a child’s tantrum, it happens, my husband and I were trying our best to soothe her, we weren’t just letting her throw a tantrum uncontrolled. I thought this was supposed to be a family friendly place, but this experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Given that there are other berry farms within driving distance, we will not be returning.

In the winter maple fest is a fun place for the whole family! You can learn about the maple process or enjoy the numerous activities available. Plus everyone love maple taffy on a stick!!
In the summer berry picking was a treat (with new COVID restrictions I’m not sure how this will work). Their selection of jams and jellies on location or at the Peterborough farmers market downtown means there’s something for everyone. They even have AMAZING seedless strawberry jam for those with dietary restrictions!!!

Lots more than just berries.... So many great homemade goods. Very worth the drive. Go for the buttertarts, if not the berries!

Went here back in the spring for their yearly maple syrup festival. It was pretty busy. And it was muddy. The weather had been wet. Went on a short horse drawn wagon ride. Great day for kids. All the regular maple syrup things. Taffy, syrup for sale, baked goods, demonstrations on boiling the sap. Parking was lacking but we found a good spot. The road in is narrow with people parking along it.

Amazing pick your own strawberries and raspberries at McLeans. Fresh produce inside the shop as well. The staff is also extremely helpful.

Fabulous strawberry picking this season! We’ve been coming for years and got 45L of berries between the three of us in about 30 minutes. Ate lots fresh, froze sliced berries for winter, and made loads of strawberry rhubarb jam.
The farm store has great peas, beans, and other seasonal favourites too. Definitely worth a stop.

Drove to Mclean's berry farm from Peterborough to get the freshes and biggest straberry's possibly, and I wasn't disapointed.. The berries looked like small apples and were they ever jusicey . I would recemand this farm for every fruit and vegs you could want. The products are fresh and the price is fair.

Happy Canada Day! On the way home from a friends cottage we took a quick detour and stopped at McLean Berry Farm. And we are so glad we did, it was exactly what we hoped for. If you love fresh Ontario strawberries, now is the time. Unfortunately we couldn’t pick our own because we had a furry friend with us, but the basket we chose was freshly picked that morning. The berries are perfectly sweet and juicy. There is an assortment of other products in the store including jams. We picked up a raspberry jam and a strawberry/raspberry jam. They have many other jam combinations, so you will certainly find something to your suite your taste.

This is a lovely farm, especially at Halloween. We went to their pumpkin patch and Halloween festival and they offered a fun tractor ride, huge pumpkin selection, and a variety of other activities, including a haunted corn maze. They also offered a selection of products for sale, including baked goods and jams. It's a really nice place to spend a morning or afternoon, and I would definitely visit again.
