Our 2nd time in this lounge in Terminal 2 and it really does get your holiday off to a great start. Lovely and plentiful food and drink, clean and pleasant surroundings. Warm and friendly welcome from Manager and efficient cleaning away of crockery and glasses by lounge staff. Sounds like it should have been a 5/5 experience so here is the reason why not. Our booking was 4am - 6am. We were lucky enough to get through security quickly and arrived in the queue to check into the lounge at 4am. It appears that people who hadn't booked were also in the queue, hoping to take any spare availability. That and the fact there was only 1 lady on the desk to start with meant that we didn't actually get into the lounge until 4:40 am. This queue also services the escape lounge as well, meaning the queue was long, moved very slowly and people were getting quite frustrated. My suggestion would be to have 2 queuing lanes, one for people who have booked and paid their money in good faith (sometimes months in advance as we had) and then another for those who turn up on spec. Bearing in mind the 1913 is the more expensive of the 2 lounges, and you only have 2 hours, surely those customers should be prioritised? We are looking to book again in September though in the hope the situation has improved.

We are desperately trying to source additional resource to mitigate the queue you faced at check in as well as using signage to request only guests with a booking approach the desks.

Brilliant service. Plenty of choice for food and drink. Wide range of spirits beers and cider. There were hot and cold food options. We were there 4-6pm on a Friday. Would definitely recommend and will book again.

Excellent lounge in which to relax before our Qatar Airways flight from T2 Manchester Airport.
We were lucky enough to have access to this as part of our ticket . It’s a bright modern lounge , clean , good food and drinks are constantly replenished. Many seats had an excellent view of the aircraft too .

We visited mid afternoon in may. The lounge wasn’t too busy. We had sandwiches and soup with pot stickers. Unlimited champagne and drinks but everyone seemed sensible! Nice views of the airfield and really lovely staff keeping all the tables clean. The carrot cake was absolutely amazing. Best I’ve ever tasted and lots of people returned for more!
The only negative were the unpleasant unfriendly staff on the desk prior to entry. They need to learn to smile and maybe be more pleasant to people who speak to them in a pleasant manner!

Looked a great treat for my wife and friend? No!, entry staff rude, then when finally let in, forget the advertised menu!! Some chicken, potatoes, 3 type of sandwich. Oh some scones. Rip off Britain!!

Our second experience and not one I`m sure we`ll repeat.
The older lady with the darker hair before you enter is not pleasant at all and could do with being a little friendlier to the paying customer. This is offputting before you even enter the lounge.
Lounge itself is clean, well run and staff inside are lovely. It was explained to us we could order various dishes, all types of eggs and toast, so we ordered some toast and only ate the bacon as nothing much else appealed to us.
I wish they offered teapots instead of the tiny cups on offer, by the time it`s made, it`s cold.
We did have some bubbly which was nice, and if you wanted alcohol, there was plenty of choice for those that did.
The bathroom choices need a rethink. Mixed bathrooms are not something I like and won`t use them, there are some outside the lounge but it`s not convenient.
It is a nice space to relax in before a flight, but the door lady needs a change of attitude. I am wondering about the supposed no children rule. It`s either adult only or it`s not. You can get children in if you get the lounge through your airline, so clearly not adult only, maybe stop advertising it as such.

Visited during breakfast hours and in my opinion this wasn’t worth the money.
When booking I’m told there’s a strict dress code in this “premium lounge” etc so I’m thinking “ooh ok this must be pretty nice”.
It’s all self service. There’s not much “premium” about self service.
There was a small hot buffet. There were no made to order dishes offered to me. I can get a breakfast buffet at a holiday inn.
The drinks choices were excellent - but again you had to make them all yourself.
A mixture of cafeteria tables and lounge seats and a good view. That’s it.
Perhaps the food at lunch or dinner is better? I won’t rebook as in my opinion it doesn’t represent good value/product/service for the money and isn’t as “premium” as billed.

It was Terminal 2 and not 3. I have read the costs some people have paid. Mine was with my airfare and would never pay such a high price.
It was clean and plenty of drinks to chose from. Sadly the cups could do with being larger. The staff were friendly and wished me a pleasant flight....... if they only knew.
Congratulations Virgin Atlantic really stuffing up, they had a delayed flight and meant some passengers turning up with 6 hours to kill. They told us to use the lounge, the checkin in staff telephoned them to complain stating they were fully booked and couldn't handle such a large amount of people. Luckily I was allowed in, but they had agreed once the lounge is full, its full.
Announcements could be better if you could hear them, the staff member had nit heard it either which led me wasting my time walking quickly to gate 208, for nothing. Least I got to see where the gates were. But least allowed back in the lounge. Other people left to go shopping and came back later also.

Fantastic and well worth the premium. Visited this premium lounge at T2 Manchester airport at 4am as it opened. For some time we were the only customers. Lovely Christmas cooked breakfast available with serve yourself drinks including unlimited Champagne Prosecco, branded spirits etc. views would be good but it was dark! Great service from attentive staff. Would visit again

We’ve booked the 1903 lounge at Manchester’s T2 for our holiday. My friend wants to travel in tracksuit bottom style lounge pants and a hoodie with trainers for the long haul flight.
I’ve read mixed answers if you can.
Any ideas?

She was told that it includes fast track through security but there is no mention of that on any of the email information that we have received. There’s no way of contacting the airport to confirm - does anybody who has been there recently know whether or not it is the case please?

We were there at breakfast - super buffet and certain items can be cooked to order. Yes unlimited drinks... remember !!! if you over indulge you will NOT get on the plane !!! I did see passengers being escorted away from their gate who had been in the lounge.

It’s open, I was in there last week
Sadly, I’m afraid it’s not great for £32 (albeit I was in there for free via Qatar).
Food was very average & the attitude of the staff leaves a lot to be desired.
Not good at all, didn’t enjoy it one bit

We've just booked a package holiday for later this month and 'treated' ourselves to the 1903 lounge, which we also booked through our holiday company. We've printed the email confirmation of the lounge booking which has the date and time of access. We're not sure though whether security fast track is included as standard in the 1903 lounge 'package' or whether we need to purchase this separately. It doesn't mention this specifically in our paperwork. Can anyone advise? Thank you.
