Hi Nairda55, Thank you for your feedback, its is great to hear that you enjoyed your passenger ride with Rhys, he really is a top driver and has competed in British Drift Championship and King of Europe series! Apologies if you felt that the briefing room was airless and stuffy. We have to keep the windows and doors closed in order for the briefing to be able to be heard other wise the sound of the race cars + drift cars on circuit and training areas impacts the delivery, as you can appreciate the safety and theory is a critical aspect of the event and we can not operate correctly if it is not delivered properly. We will review the situation now, the building itself is due to have some improvements over December, in the mean time we will look at alternative options such as fans or possibly a mobile aircon unit. Our senior instructors who deliver these briefings have spent a large amount of their drift careers sat in race cars wither training or competing, they are possibly much more accustomed to being in hot and enclosed spaces, thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will make improvements where ever possible. Moving onto your second point of concern, we are unfortunately unable to provide heated, outdoor viewing areas, it is just not possible. Living in the UK leaves us open to mother natures wishes when it comes to the weather and with it being late September we can experience everything from nice warm sunny days to the cold rain that the team experienced yesterday for the last hour of the day and during the post event pack down. We do advise on our emails to clients when booking on that the time at the venue is quite long, especially for spectators that do not encounter the levels of adrenaline that the drivers do. An average visit for driving activities is 3 - 5 hours, course dependant. The training areas are open to the elements we include in our event confirmation emails information that includes warning people to prepare for bad weather and wrap up warm if planning to spectate for long periods of time outside. What can appear to be a loverly day on leaving home in the morning can often change during the time pupils spend with us learning. As you mentioned there is a cafe that offers hot food and refreshments, this is a terrific place to warm up if the weather is cold and due to its vast size clients and their guests can sit in here any time they wish. It is a shame that you do not wish to return to drift again, if you were to return on to one of our 'Drift Ninja' Academy Courses you see a lot more 'seat time' on our training program as you work your way through the levels toward becoming a Professional drifter. Hi Andrew, Firstly let me apologise for the delay in reply, I have recently been conducting a review of our TripAdvisor account and came across your post. I have checked through your client history on our CRM system and looked into this further so as to understand the situation more. The course that you were on was in Introduction course, these sell on daily deal sites for around £59 - £69. The half day 'Drift Ninja Academy Courses' that retail at £259 are a very different package. On an introduction course you would expect to see around 15 minutes 'seat time' (actual driving time), in addition there is a theory session and and a 'Hot lap' passenger ride. These are designed to be a taster of the sport or a fun activity for people that wish to try out something new. On this course you would have had 3 driving sessions, all technique based training and this finishes with a drift competition, 'The Game of Drift' where you have 5 laps of a corner and attempt to hit a target as you drift around. It sounds as if you may have done this in 2 stages from your review, 2 and 3 laps? Perhaps a tyre burst mid drift or something that meant you had to swap cars? I am unsure as to why you thought you would then be allowed to do a figure of 8 if you were good enough. The figure of 8 is the second activity, everyone on the course does it. We do not have any activities that run that format, I feel that it would be very unfair to only allow people that were of a certain standard to do a full course, every person on an Introduction course will complete exactly the same activities. I wonder if some confusion has occurred here, you would have been in a group of up to 18 people. We allocate 1 car and instructor per 6 people for these courses. There is some time waiting while the others in your group have their go, everyone competes exercise 1 before the group move to exercise 2, then 3 and the hot laps.. On our event days we have a mixture of experiential and training clients. Training takes a very different format, there are 15 structured levels that allow people to progress from first time drifters all the way to becoming Professional competitors in national and international series. These drivers receive a little over 1 hour of 'Seat time' and this sells for a higher price point as you would expect. You mention that you only had 5 minutes driving experience. I struggle to see how this could be possible, the first session that you completed would have been 5 minutes in itself, then the longer corner practice would have been another 5 minutes. I am concerned that you did not appear to receive your figure of 8 session, this would have been between the 2 sessions that you have mentioned.
