The place appears in Phrae's provincial slogan. Hence, it should be assumed that this is one of the must visiting places in Phrae. The site was free entrance. By walking about 150 m from the parking lot, ones will finally reach the place.
The orange-brown region is full of many strange rock formations (mushroom/anthill ; depend on your imagination) which were caused by eroded dirt and sandstone over 2 million years ago. Visitors may walk to the viewpoint to see a panoramic view of the site and the surrounding green forest. Many nice spots to take photos. However, we recommend you to visit the place in the morning to avoid heat of the midday and don't forget to apply sunblock lotion.

We stopped here on our way into Phrae. The formations are interesting to walk through, but we have much more impressive formations in our home-state of Arizona. The sidewalks were easy to use, but all of the signs were missing or broken-off, so we did not know where they led to.

L'endroit est un petit peu à l'ecart de la ville il fait être véhiculer pour y accéder. Le'tree est gratuite et le site est très sympa. Une fois de plus nous étions seuls et avons pu profiter pour faire de belles photos. L'endroit reste special et mérite que l'on jette un coup d'œil c'est n'est pas dingue non plus et on fait le tour en 20 minutes. Si vous êtes dans le coin il faut venir jeter un œil. Pas indispensable non plus mais reste sympa

A great little national park (and free for once). Not big, a half hour is all you need for your visit. The pictures tell you all you need to know.

We went an early morning, and no other tourists were there. It was wery hot and humid and the sun was fierce. We spend approx 30 minutes walking around these interesting geological formations. Not a huge place, but you can get an impression of how forceful water is and get a taste of these kind of geological national parks. We enjoyed our stroll around the place while listening to the song of the leafhopper. If you are in the surrounding area this is a nice place to come by, but personally I wouldnt take a detour for it.

12 kms from town and no public transport so you will have to hire a taxi unless you have your own transport. Advertised as Thailand's answer to the Grand Canyon is very misleading. If you have ever been to the Grand Canyon then don't think of it as being smaller -- think of it as being a toy miniature.
It's a pleasant place but not awesome.

Not too far from Phrae. It took about 30 minutes by motor scooter. Free admission. Not a big place. I think we only spent about an hour and we walked the whole circuit. It has a nice brick pathway. There is just a small area for the formations, but they are worth seeing. I’ve been to many other places with erosion formations, but never seen anything quite like this.
If you are in Phrae and have an hour, this is totally worth seeing. Really if you only have 30 minutes, you can see the formations in that time if you are on a tight time schedule.
