My wife & I were on our Honeymoon & stopped by to pick up some nougat. We assumed it would be a quick ‘in & out visit’. But we connected with one of their staff members. Michelle was her name. She was super friendly, knowledgeable & was able to connect with us on multiple levels (not only wine & nougat. But weddings, photography & animals).
Michelle made us feel very comfortable & ‘at home’ at Bettenay’s. Although it was a quickish visit, it ended up being one of our most favourite & memorable visits whilst on our Honeymoon. We thought we were going for a couple bars of nougat, we left with a couple bars of nougat, 3 bottles of wine & a truly memorable experience.
We highly recommend Michelle at Bettenay’s.

It was too hard to make a choice! I've never seen so many flavours and styles of nougat. They kindly offer you a taste and you can push your luck and ask to test some additional flavours. We solved our choice dilemma by buying a pack of 5 different flavours.

Lovely nougat and great service. Unfortunately not very disabled friendly....although they are expanding and will hopefully remedy this. Lovely view.

Loved the visit. So much to sample. A must for nougat fans . Good pricing and some good deals. Nougat Frappe is a great way to end the visit. Can’t wait to go back. Bought a heap but it won’t last long.

Loving a bit of nougat, it seemed a no brainer to drop in here and it was well worth it. Even though you can buy this product within the local area, if you drop in to the tasting rooms, they have a much bigger range available at better prices with bulk buy deals as well as free tastings and tasting experiences matched with their wines. In addition, they have a couple of nougat liqueur drinks which were delicious and which you can also taste before buying.
Aside from the nougat, the tasting room location is beautiful situated right on the edge of a lake with a vineyard view with both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth a visit.

Here for Nougat and let with 2 bottle of nougat alcohol. The nougats were really nice and have a selection of crunchy and soft. We managed to even have a try at the nougat drinks before getting 2 for the road.

If you only try one liqueur during a visit to Margaret River you have to make it the Coffee Nougat Liqueur produced by Bettenays. It is to die for. The wines are very nice also. Then there is the nougat - seriously i didnt know you could have so many different flavours - it was hard to select which ones to buy. Situated on a beautiful estate with a lovely lake to overlook while sampling - you could stay here for a while.

Was not expecting much more than a shop, but it was really nice and had great displays, some tastings and a window to see them making some new products. We fell in love with the salted caramel nougat, it is divine. I am now home and will be ordering some more online! Friendly staff and nice surrounds.

On the way back from Margaret River to Perth, we visited Betternay's to check and taste their Nougat & Wines in the heart of Margaret River. French inspired Nougat, soft and delightful. Yes very Delish, amen. We also tried their Awards winning wines, Carbernet Sauvignon, Semillon Whites and Sauvignon Blanc. Plus we also tried their delicious Liqouers (ie. Chocoletto & the famous Nougaretto ie.Nougat in a bottle).
Superb and thank you, Betternay's.

Been coming to the shop for over 10 years as we love the nougat and liquor . However on our last visit in December 2020 we were very disappointed by the service . We walked into the shop and decided to try the Christmas nougat , only 2 samples were available for our large group . The middle age gentleman needs to learn about customer service as we were made to feel very unwelcome . Not once were we offered tasting of the liquor which we love but wanted friends to try and made it very obvious that we wanted them to try it to him . He also refused to give us samples saying he was alone at the front (no other customers in the shop) so wonder why he said that . Not very helpful when asked about newer flavors etc . With brash answers . At the end we just paid for our nougat and walked out saying that that was the Worst customer service of our trip down south . Sorry but maybe some customer service training would help the fellow . Like I said in the past we have had great customer service from other staff at the shop . It’s the overall experience that counts hence a 1 star rating .

Are all the nougats considered gluten free?

Hi Christine,
Thank you for your enquiry.
We make our nougat with gluten free products which we have researched and selected. All our nougat is gluten free.
We do have a few products which may contain gluten however they are not marked gluten free eg Rocky Road which is made with gluten free nougat however the marshmallow is not gluten free.
I hope this has answered your questiion.
We also have our own honey, olive oil, wine and locally grown macadamias.
