I'm thinking of coming to this next year and was wondering what sort of time the night glow and fireworks are? Thanks.
The night glow and fireworks 9 pm when it is dark (as they normally have a launch of balloons at 6 pm)
Nightglows are on the Thursday & Saturday nights
Fireworks follow soon after certainly on the Saturday and I presume that they do the same on the Thursday too but I have not been to the one on a Thursday
Hope that this answers your query -
Saturday usually finishes at about 10.30 ish and then with the mass exodus when it can take a while to get to your car in the dark and then out of Ashton Court - so be warned
It was 2120 on Thursday after 3 hours of waiting and watching an empty field. Nightglow was ok but worth the wait? VERY QUESTIONABLE!
I’m not quite sure as I haven’t been to the night glow for years as my children are adults themselves now. I’m quite sure Saturday you have the fair open all day and the night glow is probably 9 and fireworks after at 10. Thursday I think it maybe a live group then the night glow . Both nights takes ages to get out in your car (you have to book parking and will get a ticket)The best thing I think you can do it keep looking it up and I think they lay buses on from Park and Rides. For myself it’s different for me as I’m disabled (blue badge) now and go to the 6am ascent and I park closer, it’s too busy. Hope I’ve been a little bit of help. Enjoy x
Hi
As other people have already told you, the night glow starts around 9 pm following by fireworks. It's a fantastic event. You will enjoy a great vibe and buzz there :-)
Hi,
Night glow starts from 9pm. It’s about an hour long and finished with fireworks around 10pm.
I would suggest to get there for about 5pm/6pm. As you’ll get to see all the balloons go up in the air same time around 6pm/7pm. Then you can pick your spot for the evening show. It does get packed very quickly. Make sure to take a picnic blanket and wrap up warm.
The event starts from 10am, there are shows throughout the day, games and fun fair attraction. Good for kids.
