Superior rooms are all in the newly refurbished section. We were first in our room and even kettle was still in packaging.Room and bathroom were excellent.
In addition superior room guests had a seperate sectioned off area in dinning room.
It had waiter service and tablecloths etc.
Food was same for all guests and I'm a fussy picky eater but found plenty of nice food both at breakfast and evening dinner.
It's not 5 * but neither is price.
Staff very pleasant and helpful, will bring fried, boiled, scrambled eggs if asked !
We would go back in a flash unless things have got bad since May 2018.
I’m due to stay end of sept, will there still be trips to the lakes and other islands? I was looking into ferries and could not find much information. Does the hotel provide excursions? Any information regarding trips would be greatly appreciated.
Don't worry. There is a tourist agency also on the "riva" (waterfront) in the Old town Trogir - "Kairos travel", and there you can also get information on all trips, excursions etc. Krka waterfalls are nice, I would also suggest river Cetina if you like some adventure because there you try really cool zip line, rafting, canyoning... Also make sure you take one day off and go with the speed boat to check all the islands - they have tours that will take you to visit all the best spots in this central Dalmatian region (Vis, Hvar, Brac...).
There is bus station above hotel (you have to walk 2 minutes uphill) and there are local and intercity buses passing through all day, you can hop on one and go to Split. Price is around 20 to 40 kunas one way
