Whilst I didn't actually stay with Guest House Kyal I did have Adilet translate and drive me for a day and I really can't speak highly enough of this lovely man. I'm a yurt maker in the UK and was keen to meet someone making them in Kyrgyzstan as this is the style of yurt I produce. Adilet nailed it, he found exactly the right person and his translation between two people who were both keen to chat about a subject of which he knew little, was fluent, charming and incredibly useful to me. On top of that he was excellent company for the day as well, sorting out some scanning and computer tech issues I had and ultimately at the end of the day we ended up just chatting for a couple of hours sat in his car outside his house, for the pleasure of it. I saw the rooms that he rents and they were clean and cozy looking and if I hadn't already booked somewhere else, for much more money, it's where I would have stayed instead. Really, if you need a guide, translator, fixer I don't think you'll find anyone better in the region never mind just Bokonbayevo.…

Very nice Place in the city of bokonbaevo ! It is an indépendant guesthouse (not CBT, and cheap) very clean and with a big garden (lots of Apple trees!). Hadriet and his family are very welcomy, the food is amazing, the rooms are comfy, and they can organize excursions for you (glacier, eagle show, fairy tale canyon...). We recommend !

Great hospitality. Large comfortable rooms and excellent home cooked meals in a spectacular setting. Adliet speaks fluent English and is very knowledgeable about the region. He can also organize any kind of excursion on short notice.

I spent a total of 3 weeks at the Guest House Kyal. Very friendly atmosphere not far from spectacular Issyk Kul lake. It also helps that the owner speaks fluent English (He's an English teacher) The rooms are clean and spacious and the food excellent, the wifi very good. I heartily recommend it.
