我們預訂 2018/08/25-26 要去玩，但台灣全南部大雨成災，雨超級大，很多地方交通都中斷，提前跟民宿連絡希望能延期，但民宿堅持不肯，說除非墾丁停班停課，才願意退錢或延期，但是民宿主人有想過，客人都是從其他地區開長途去墾丁玩的嗎？連 8 月 27 日屏東都還在停班停課，這就是民宿只想要賺錢，沒有替客人著想，我會跟我認識的每一個朋友說，絕對不要再訂這一間了

Though this is not close to the Kenting street, it is a very nice design hostel. There are two blocks of this hostel. Every room has different thematic design (2-8 person rooms are available). Price is reasonable. The owner and the staffs are very nice and helpful. The owner will treat you as his family members and chat with you during the breakfast time. Breakfast is in western style and tasty. There is a small swimming pool near the dinning area, kids can play over there. You can also BBQ if you like. Pros. Room is clean with bathtub and shower. Free WiFi. Nice design Quiet Spacious Room There is a beach nearby (3-5mins walking distance), you can play water sports if you like. Cons. 1. Shower with curtain only, water will splash out on the toilet and the floor. 2. Hostel official website is in Chinese only, foreigner may have difficulties to browse the information. 3. Hostel is not close to the Kenting street, you can only rent car to go there.…

[--] The other reviews here inspired me to try to stay at Red Garden Resort, but it was full. I then discovered that there are literally hundreds of little places, similar at least in size, catalogued on a couple Chinese websites (without reviews....). After following links, looking at lots of room photos and checking out locations, I took a chance on La Villa and had great luck. It's located in a little village by Pai Sha beach, a (relatively) quiet beach on the west side of Kenting National Park. There are four rooms/suites, varying widely in size and style to accomodate different size groups. La Villa has its own swimming pools, a patio area where breakfast is served and a lawn with ducks and, apparently, summer BBQ. There's also a parking area amidst the trees across the alley. The place just opened six months ago and everything is clean and fresh. The 'honeymoon suite' we ended up in was excellent if quirky. The bedroom, in back, was decorated in a kinda classical Chinese style supplemented by a flatscreen TV but basically devoid of a window. The front room, in a Balinese theme, was both a bathroom, complete with a large jacuzzi bath and a stand up shower, and a sitting room; the elements that might jar are the concrete floor and the toilet, which can only be curtained off. The service from Mrs. Chuang, her husband and the rest of the crew at La Villa is a highlight. She was waiting out in the road to catch us as we drove by uncertainly at 1am (I'd warned of our late arrival at time of booking) and helped make our stay a joy. …
