Great place to stay, comfy clean beds, shower and separate kitchen, we stayed for 4 weeks, had everything we needed if we were able to go out! We had to stay in due to illness and we only had one tv channel to watch and no internet, although while i was there this was being sorted out. Ruth and wilf walters are very nice kind people and ruth took me shopping and asked everyday if i needed to go anywhere. A cleaning lady brings clean bedding and towels and is also very nice. I would love to go again and would stay here. It also has a great pool and lovely views!
I was here the nights of August 29 and August 30, 2010. We were assured that it was a furnished apartment in working condition. There were 1000's of bugs, including crawling ones inside the bed. When you lay down on the bed, you can feel the matress spring pressing into your spine. There were geckos in the room as well as their fecal droppings squashed on the walls, running down the walls, and on the floors. The furniture was torn, and the oven did not work at all. It was impossible to cook there, unless you used only the microwave. The problem was that there were not microwave safe pans. Hurricane Earl came at night and flooded the unit. There was nothing to mop all the water up, so we waded through. The owner could have cared less. It was $68 per night, but we were better off staying at a full service hotel on the island. It has a remote location, and it is too dangerous to flag a taxi on the main road. The crime rate is sky high, and you can't safely leave the unit after dark without a car. There is not a restaurant or a bar there as advertised on the website.…
We have stayed at Trinity Inn many times over the last 10 years. The newest apartments were built in 1997. There are 10 units there, many are rented long term to students that attend Ross University, which is about 2 miles away. Trinity Inn is located about 5 miles from Basseterre on the main road. The units have a small kitchen, single bedroom and a full bath, there is also a balcony which overlooks the Carribbean. There is a nice pool on the property and a washing machine in an adjacent building with a close line nearby to hang up your clothes. What we like is the price- approx $ 60 a night. Ruth & Wilf Walters are very nice people to deal with and depending on your arrival time, they will meet you at the airport.
