Here I am, walking with my partner on the freezing cold streets outside of Hilton Berlin at around lunch hours of the day because Hilton Berlin insisted the checkin time being 2 pm and there is absolutely nothing they can do about our early morning arrival. I am normally happy and willing to accommodate the rules of the Hotel which was was my partner and I have done by catching up our sleep (we had none last night because we need to get ready to go to the Airport at 3 am the night before) since we arrived Hilton Berlin at around 10 am this morning. A couple of hours of quiet waiting, we thought we approach the Reception to find out if the room is ready or indeed any room as an alternative so that we can crash into bed and sleep. The girl who we talked to asked for my ID, I said we have checked in with her colleagues earlier and I simply present my Hilton Honour App on my phone has welcomed us with a cold attitude. Indeed, I would rather describe her being very unprofessional. As soon as I mentioned Hilton Honour membership, she gave us the funny face with the “So-what” gesture and whispered to the person next to her in German which although we do not quiet understand but the gesture and facial expression already told us to get lost. I explained that how tired we are and if there is anything Hilton can do to accommodate our need which in our experience other hotels were most willing to find a room to let us take a rest, rather than letting the two of us sleeping on the couch at the Lobby which may not look present to other incoming guests. The girl said that you could have booked for one extra night to avoid your suffering. My partner is a person who is not easily agitated but this time he has also felt being insulted by the attitude of the girl. We thought being a Silver Member of Hilton Honour and if any opportunity permits during our busy travelling we would prefer to book a room with a Hotel that is under the governance of Hilton Honours. Travelling through some 90 countries and counting even more rapidly in recent years, this is the first time I feel being shame of myself being obsessed of wanting to further upgrade in Hilton Honours Membership by making Hilton as a priority in our accomodation choice. We all know about the rules of the Hotel but we, as the guests to the Hotel, especially being one that is called an “Honour” by Hilton, should not stand there at its Reception being insulted with such an absurd, unprofessional, indeed insulting attitude and gesture, of a staff who pays absolutely no sympathy but blame the guests why not pay more money to book one extra night to avoid the situation of asking to get into a room earlier than 2pm! Some explanation from Hilton Management would greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have experience parking at the hotel car-park? our car is 1.97m wide. - same as BMW 7 series, Mercedes G class, Tesla Model S. I cannot find the height and width restrictions online for the car park - any experiences welcome as we're arriving very late at night I'd like to plan ahead.

I’ve seen a couple reviews saying there is a nightclub here and it’s v noisy. Is that still the case or is it ok?

Our flight arrives in to Berlin early in the morning. Check-in time will be later in the afternoon. Is there luggage storage at the hotel so we can explore the city until check-in time?

I would like to book a hotel for 3 nights in August but just wanted to check the height restrictions of your hotel parking? We will be in a VW Campervan with a roof box so will measure about 2.4 meters high. Many thanks!
