Espaço agradável e acolhedor

O espaço é bonito e muito agradável, uma casa tradicional do Pico que nos fez viver de outra forma a estadia na ilha. Quando chegamos fomos recebidos com uma salada de polvo impecável e muita simpatia.

Wir haben spontan gebucht, Ivone die Vermieterin kam gleichzeitig mit uns am haus an. Der Kuhlschrank,war prall gefüllt, es gab Wein und sogar frisches Brot hat sie uns gebracht fürs Frühstück und 2 Eier.

parfait et typique

Pour y être allée plusieurs fois (adega jose nunes et adega do gato), les 2 sont très différentes et n'offrent pas les mêmes services. Personnellement, je préfère la Jose Nunes, plus petite, isolée, adorable, avec jardin, barbecue et mirador-terrasse sur une vue splendide! Mais dans la "petite", il n'y a pas de machine à laver, pas de wifi ni de four ou de micro ondes, contrairement à l'autre, très bien équipée! Bref, un choix à faire! Les 2 sont très bien placées, la gérante est adorable et on trouve tout au village de Piedade (banque, café, mini supermarché...), pas très loin des adegas (il vaut mieux prévoir une voiture)

wonderful stay in Pico

Stayed at Adega do Gato from Aug26-Sep3, 2014. Nice, old stone adega as advertised.Kitchen with all ammenities.Nice little patio to sit out in evening.Wonderful hospitality from owner Ivone who was very helpful, bringing fresh-cooked food,veggies,fruit,bread throughout the week.Off the beaten path on Picoin Calhou/Piedade on east end of island; about 40 minutes from the airport and Madalena.Quiet village life;Ivone lives close by.Great base for whalewatching in Lajes do Pico.Old wine adega adjacent to property, where the locals came with grapes and started the fermentation process on Sunday when we visited.Nothing is very far away on Pico;beautiful vineyard corrals,fishing villages,the mountain peak,etc.Best markets for groceries in Lajes,Sao Roque or Madalena.Would recommend for couples or small family.Would stay there again. Thanks, Ivone!!…
