Anyone who booked via 3rd party website, please advise. On hotel's own website, they charge 7% Goods& Service tax, as well as 10% "Service Charge" on top of the room charges. So for the couple of nights we are looking at, there'll be roughly AU$50 tax and fees separately from the room charges. On the booking site we're considering use, the total price comes up as "include tax and fees" and the pop up on their booking page states the below. "Taxes are tax recovery charges paid to the hotel for its tax obligations. The fees are service charges that we keep as additional compensation for servicing your travel reservation. " I've heard in the past that often the included taxes and fees in the 3rd party websites are their own taxes/fees and not the local one that hotel charges. Were you charged upon check-in or check-out those 7%+10% tax and service fees separately on top of what you've paid for booking via 3rd party? or was it all included?

Hi, Can someone tell us the access to/from the airport (is there a direct train/bus etc) and also access to the centre of the city/marina area/merlion park - is it walkable? if not, how much (time/cost) roughly would it take to get to/from those areas? Thanks!
